Senior Ladies in ISP yet to compete this season, that I am aware of... <snip> ... Gabriella Izzo
Izzo (who has started her freshman year at Harvard) has been replaced by Paige Rydberg at Skate America in the ISU's Oct. 7th update. This will be Rydberg's GP debut and her first international since the 2017 U.S. Classic in SLC.

Four other ladies making their respective GP debuts at SKAM are Pooja Kalyan, Audrey Shin, Isabelle Inthisone, and Kate Wang (latter 3 competed on the JGP last season).

They will be joined by Bradie Tennell, Mariah Bell, Karen Chen, Amber Glenn, Starr Andrews and Gracie Gold.

This should be amazing, although I’ll miss Alysa Liu. Like them all but I’m going to be rooting loudest for “New Amber”...and Pooja’s dresses (and classy smooth style)! :cheer2:

Hey hey hey

I’ve been away from the website again for about a week. So Alysa will not be at skate America? Yes I just saw another post that Amber ranks third among highest scores for US skaters, how exciting!!

I found the ladies short program over at fan zone. Look like Amber was perhaps going for the triple axle and popped it?

What was Bradie skating to? It was hard to hear

Yes. Glenn didn't attempt the 3A in her 6-triple FS - jumps landed: 3F+3T, 2A, 3F+1Eu+2S, 3Lz, 3Lo+2T, 3Lo, 2A.

From the Oct. 1st article posted in Tennell's coaching change news thread in GSD: https://www.teamusa.org/News/2020/O...opes-Mile-High-Move-Pays-Off-With-Triple-Axel
Tennell debuted her new routines, including a short program set to Florence and the Machine’s “Moderation” and free skate to a medley including Max Richter’s haunting “Sarajevo,” as part of U.S. Figure Skating’s International Selection Pool (ISP) Points Challenge. (In this virtual competition, skaters performed their programs in front of proctors at their home rinks, then sent them to U.S. Figure Skating to be judged by a remote panel. Fans can view the programs on demand at U.S. Figure Skating’s Fan Zone.)
Both were choreographed with Benoit Richaud, a former ice dancer who has worked with Tennell for several years. Richaud lives in France, so he and Tennell had their sessions via video call.

Given the situation, and the lack of Junior events, US Federation should make an exception and let Alysa skate with Seniors
ISU age rules dictate otherwise; it's not USFS' call (re. Skate America).

ETA that Junior champ Thorngren also won't be eligible for ISU Senior comps until next season:
SENIOR LADIES FS Top Scores This Season
Mariah Bell 135.09 ISP
Bradie Tennell 131.67 ISP
Amber Glenn 129.29 ISP
Lindsay Thorngren 128.12 E Boston
Karen Chen 123.59 ISP
Alysa Liu 119.59 ISP
Pooja Kalyan 119.01 M Co Springs
Audrey Shin 117.15 ISP

Skate America update - Inthisone and Wang were replaced in yesterday's ISU GP Ladies' grid by Sierra Venetta and Finley Hawk (re-posting from the GP Selections thread):
Venetta was 7th in Senior Ladies at 2020 U.S. Nationals and placed 5th in her international debut at 2020 Challenge Cup in The Hague.
Hawk was 7th in Junior Ladies at Midwestern Sectional Singles Final in November 2019 but has skated & scored well at the Senior level in club competitions this summer, which likely got her into the ISP.

Where is Ting and why is she not competing at Skate America? I know she didn't compete last season but she's still a contender in my book to make the US Olympic team if she stays healthy. I see US ladies at Skate America that aren't nearly as accomplished as Ting is with no chance in 2022 but they somehow got invited. Is she still injured from over a year ago?

Natalia Linichuk's Instagram post last month [dated June 25] ("Continue to prepare for the season with amazingly talented, creative hard worker Ting Cui."): https://www.instagram.com/p/CB3sSoNBAjF/
I forgot to mention in my previous post that Misha Ge worked remotely with Hanna Harrell on Oct. 3: https://www.instagram.com/p/CF3s71WpEVd/

Linichuk, as great as she is (I've taken some classes with her), is not known for teaching the technical elements. Anyone know who is working with Ting on that stuff?

Isn't Priscilla Hill at that Rink? or director of that Rink? If so, she would make a fine technical advizor and/or coach. I am sure there are other technical coaches there as well.
