Surprised they still haven't added the NRW Trophy to the Assignments page. All three US teams are still listed in the Entries.

Was it just me, or did Chock & Bates skate really slow during their Skate Canada FD? I hope and think that they will improve their performances as the season goes on.

NRW Trophy with Gropman/Somerville, Gunter/Wein and the Greens are listed now (though in the wrong column ;)) ... hope all 3 teams are successful this week in Dortmund! They compete on Friday & Saturday, November 5-6.

Thank you for the links.

Gropman & Somerville actually had the highest technical mark of all the teams in their free dance and the only footwork sequence above a level 2 in the event (improvement from their JGP). On the downside, still a level one in one of their blues patterns, though even so, teams 4-6 in the SD actually had higher technical base value than teams 1-3. G&S scored about 13 points higher than during their JGP event.

US ice dance fans should try to catch the junior SD at Easterns at 7 PM EST tonight. All four teams are excellent, and this should be one of the better competitions at sectionals.

Yes, Lewis & Bye have switched in to Eastern Sectionals. (Looking for a serious competition?) And Gropman and Somerville have switched back in after switching out last season. Plus the gold (the Greens) & the silver medal (Gunter & Wein) novice teams from last season. So essentially all the internationally competitive teams that don't have a bye for the JGPF will be at Easterns.

Green/Green scored an impressive 143.55 (SD 59.12, FD 84.43) to win Eastern Sectionals.

I really really can't wait to see them on the JGP next year.

70 dance teams, Senior down to Juvenile, are competing at the 3 Sectionals this year.
Top 4 in each Sectional advance to 2017 Nationals.
