Second and third should be switched or closer, but the music choice of the D/LM is just so meh.......

Disagree on this one, if anything L/B were lowballed here to cement FB/C's superiority. Their RD is very similar to last season's, but it still works and it was an overall good outing of it. The eight-point gap feels manufactured to me, considering what both FB/C and L/B put on the ice (and that they had the same BV).

I only watched the FB/C RD once, but was struck by the height difference a bit. He seems to be bending over a lot, which I don’t recall him doing with Gabby. FB seems rock solid though- she did a great job, while C seemed a bit nervous. Having said all that, I liked the ‘voguing’ choreography and thought they looked good together. Lifts also seemed fairly easy, but aligned with the style. Can’t wait to see the FD and what they do with lifts there.

The camera angle was not the best, and he was having boot problems. The heel of one became somewhat detached from the blade. His stamina may also not be where he wants it to be. We'll see how things play out tomorrow.

Having seen F-B/C now, I have no idea why they chose this concept. It doesn't go with the music, and all it does is invite comparisons to P/C's much better program. (I know, it's two different styles of dance, but they're similar enough for comparisons.)

yeah, this is a big fat nope for me at this point. they are both very very good skaters and i can see people determined to like them making an argument for some potential (it is early in the season but they have supposedly been working on this for several months now and p/c's waaking program was pretty much olympic ready at their debut) but they're not skating in a vacuum and since fb/c are really only emphasizing the arm movements of vogueing, the comparisons are too obvious. i mean, his costume is just a black version of his 2022 costume ffs

If that's what we want to see there's really nothing we can see.

That's okay though, the real winners are the I AM school, a lot of very intriguing programs are loading. Excited to see S/D, the spicy brits, and the Shib/Shibs. Its gonna be TIGHT.

I didn`t expect it to be so many that actually liked there program here. LOL

All though it`s obvious that are both very technical skilled skaters, they are not well connected and the program is kinda meh IMO.

The score is crazy, but not unexpected. Unfortunately their reputation is going to give them massive GOE. Even the underwhelming lifts.

I never thought I would say this, but i`m hoping for some massive home scoring for L/G in Sheffield.

My take on FB/C and L/B, scores aside (I don't agree with the gap), is that both programs are... fine. Some cool choreo, but also reminiscent of past, more interesting programs, and overall nothing special yet. Which is okay, it's early and there's time for improvement. But I would have hoped for a bit more (well, I'm not super invested in either team honestly, but in general). We'll see how things look by GP de France.

The program certainly showcases how amazingly good a skater Laurence is now that she is not being held back by Sorensen.

Thoughts on FBCiz - the program is empty, the lift was basic & unimpressive, the music is pretty meh & the slower tempo doesn't do them any favors. Very underwhelming & very overscored.

Thoughts on LopBri - very much in their wheelhouse, but a lot more skating content than FBCiz & much better music choice. Not sure the FFSG is doing themselves any favors by lowballing LopBri the way they did here.

This is my first time I have watched any of the RDs. Nothing stood out, but I prefer L&B for having music that seemed distinctly 90s. It also showed that the yes, actually skating to fast music is harder than skating to slow classical flowing music. I was impressed that they generally kept up, hopefully more character will be inserted through the season.

It seems like skaters and choreographers think that the only dance move in the 90s was voguing. I need some running men, moshing, cabbage patches, Roger Rabbits, Electric Sliding against Racism, and Hammers.

I’m not sure about the gap but to me L/B always look frantic.
And kinda pushed and laboured.
FB I agree was amazing and Cizeron did look like he hadn’t skated for a while competitively.
However they were IMO miles above L and B in terms of refinement, concept and execution.
Considering FB/C are a new team I think they are doing pretty well.
I think they are a threat for the podium, although I’m thinking top 5.
I think we are still waiting on the Shib sibs, the Italians, C/B specifics, and G/P of the top teams correct?
