Thanks Bossman for keeping us up to date! And yesterday da Schott and her bff seemed to be making gingerbread cookies. Btw kindergarten teacher is Le Gauz new title from now on. He's adorable on the plane with them kids.

To be fair with KOR fed, the system where different local competitions were used to select different internationals (4CC/Worlds, etc) was apllied back in the days were non korean skaters (besides Yuna) were getting any international invitations. That way the skaters had at least 2-3 big competitions during the season. And at least their olympic qualification method is a cut and dry sum of points instead of messy criteria like JPN. As for only internationals + nationals that would mean a serious advantage towards GP skaters. Not sure I'd like that.

That said, there should be a solution for injured skaters that missed one of the local events. Perhaps a bye like US gives. Im sure So-Youn would have used that having a much bigger body of work than Ha-Nul.

Ok. I understand that they want to give their skaters as equal chance as it's possible but starting all of that in July is just wrong as well as de facto making their own ladies withdraw from GP assignment.

Im dreading already the K&C for the russians during the Team Event . What are they going to wear??, lots of olympic rings as headbands???

Fair decision from IOC. Hopefully Russian figure skater will compete, but there's that risk that they won't (or can't if they boycott or can't fulfill criteria / approval in time).

Do I have to say something?

:fragile:
No. And, I want to say how grateful I am for all your information. Let's just hope the athletes are allowed to compete if they choose. I would be sad, but I'd understand if they chose not to as long as it was their decision and not the governments. I really hope they hold their heads high and show the world what they can do. That would be the best exoneration they could have.

They can, Bach already confirmed clean russian athletes can compete whether its individiaul or team events, as long as they go through the pre games testing procedures.
They have to be invited to participate and they can only compete under a "neutral" Olympic flag. There is a discussion going on and on and on, in the Great Skate forum.

Kostner and Leonova? Now, there's a wide spectrum if there ever was one.

They are both inconsistent, fabulous old ladies with lots of performance quality. Their styles may be different, but they have similarities. Most people wonder why they haven’t retired yet but they don’t care and continue to kick ass :respec:
