So again my impressions on Skate Canada after keeping up with the skating:
Ladies:
Oh dear! Halloween came early for the ladies with the tech caller dressing up as Shin Amano and bringing candy carrots for everyone!!!

Seriously, that was one horrific event. If there is a prize for
event of the season. SC Ladies will be hard to beat.
Osmond: Dear Canadians. It is lovely that you always cheer for your local skaters no matter what but a standing ovation for that LP performance makes you look ridiculous.
Pogorilaya: If you thought Pogo jump splats were scary, they are nothing compared to Pogo Spin Splats
The K&C drama with Tsareva is incredibly
as usual but that relationship is just not healthy! For our patron saint's sake she must break free from her.
Wagner: waay too lucky with the podium, though Bronze was more like a pick the least worst scenario. If it were for me I would have picked Hongo.
Lecavelier: love the dress, but that LP has no soul.
Chartrand: just be glad CAN has 3 spots and all the other ladies suck more than you do.
Dance:
As a latino every time we have a latin themed Short Dance I get seriously annoyed with the music choices. My biggest pet peeve is when teams just pick some mainstream top 40 pop hit with a cheap beat mix that fits the requirement and called it latin music. Its almost as insultive to me as Domnina &Shabalin's aboriginal costumes.
So this year is even worse when the team I want to win the olympics are the main offenders.. Freaking Rolling Stones and The Egles??? really
Virtue & Moir: They are fantastic but the FD feels like a greatest hits collection kinda like Torvill & Dean circa 94. Bleh.
Weaver & Poje: This is more like a One Hit Wonder collection. I know that in olympic season teams feel the panic and go back to their comfort zone but resurrecting a 6 year old program is down right desperate and pathetic. Booh
Hubbell & Donohue: That FD is soo sexy It made me want to call my boyfriend and bang him hard all night. If I were Olivia Smart I would feel jealous watching them every day having soo much chemistry on ice.
Loboda & Drozd: Such a lousy material they have this year an dwith sloppy skating. He should stop wasting time on instagram with touristic pics and go back to train hard.
Men and Pairs later....
I can't take the crushing disappointment. Either that or I need to uber Sui/Han or Duh/Rad Just go with what's easiest. I'm going to ponder good things about Duh/Rad that I can focus on.
