He skated his free skate to Je Suis Malade. A skater who always dies halfway through his free skate.

Ironically enough, that would be Bossman. He's their biggest fan.

However, I felt so sorry for Annabelle yesterday when she was trying not to cry during their interview and they had the 3rd highest FS score today. They really had a chance at that bronze medal.

The Name-Day Party. It's in "Fifty-Two Stories," translated by Pevear and Volokhonsky, who have been the super en vogue translators of Russian writers for the last several years. It's a good collection, I'd recommend it. I wish I had something funny and team trainwrecky to add but I'm still too depressed!

eta: oooooh this was a mistake to think along these lines now I am seeing all the characters as different skaters, I may need to take a break until Nationals are over!
