#TeamTrainwreck 21: Ride until the fantasy ends!

  • Thread starter Thread starter Jeschke
  • Start date Start date
I'll stick with Dance: Torvill/Dean, Usova/Zhulin, Klimova/Ponomarenko, Blumberg/Seibert, Rahkamo/Kokko, Delobel/Schoenfelder, Davis/White (at their best), Papadakis/Cizeron, Gilles/Poirier, and I've long had soft spots for Kati Winkler/Rene Lohse -- she had lovely turnout and toe point, and he's :grope: -- Hoffmann/Elek, and Rubleva/Shefer.

Here, off the top of my head, are my lists of favorites in roughly chronological order. There are some active Singles skaters who could easily supplant some of the people on the list, and if I were to do this list again before the start of the next season, I'd probalby make one or two changes anyhow.

If it were all about the actual skating, two other Pairs and one other Ice Dance couple would have been on the list, but things the male partner in each team did off ice have diminished my enjoyment. There's also a male Singles skater I left off for similar reasons.

Russian :gallopin1 trio of Gorshkov, Griazev and Borodulin would follow! (I guess @SmallFairy will love me for that :D)

There were skaters I rooted so hard for during their times, but now they or their skating feel pretty meh to me: Abbot, Joubert, Lysacek,

No clue where to put Hanyu who can be mesmerizing if on. But so much turn-off for me here. So ?‍♂️

:cheer: for a Vähämaa mention! :cheer: She'd make my list too!

What could have been! She was amazing! ?

I loved Volo with Kharchenko back in the day! :cheer2: I remember being a big fan during Malmö Euros 2003! They were babies then!
Me too! Tania had dark hair and they did a Romeo & Juliet FS. I became a fan instantly. Babies indeed!

I'm currently finishing up a bunch of stuff because it's the last day of classes so all assignments are due, but I will join in when I have time (both favs and maybe do-hards).
