Liza Tuktamysheva’s new 2020/21 short program will be to ‘Spartacus’, choreo by Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte.
They had another option - something by Madonna, but in the end chose Spartacus.

Tuk picking Spartacus over Madonna is either a terrible decision or a very smart decision, depending on what Madonna era we're talking about. Perhaps she'll keep the Spartacus choreogaphy but use Madonna later in the season?

I think it would be the most fun if she choreographed to Madonna originally then skated that choreography to Spartacus instead.

That's how Twyla Tharp often choreographs. She doesn't give the dancers the real music until later, so that responding to it doesn't look rehearsed and rote.
