ok this is deep lol - even though I was super conflicted between K/R and N/K at gpf and thought they were both excellent and even though I absolutely thought N/K had the better night at Junior Worlds and genuinely thought they deserved to win that time, there was a .0000000001% of my soul that wanted them to win b/c I thought if Russia/Russian-affiliated skaters ran the table in golds at Junior Worlds after already running the table at europeans, it might create a backlash at Worlds that would endanger S/K's position. NOTE AGAIN: I did genuinely think N/K deserved to win, I'm just saying this was the teeniest tiniest teeniest double tiniest infinitesimal fragment of motivation in wanting them to pull it out. I truly love K/R too and was super torn and was hoping they would kill it at Worlds.
