Loboda/Drozd were so bad last season that they fell ouf of both Top 24 SB/WS lists. So the new couple would have to start from zero fighting with MOrozov's daughter for some Senior B assignments.

Cup of Russia host spots for TM2/Drozd and Perkova! :40beers:

Erokhov and Skoptsova/Aleshin will most likely end up with two GP events as they are current JWC and are high on SB/WR lists.
Popova/Mozgov and Boikova/Kozlovsly are in top-24 on SB list and since it’s a post-Olympic season, it should be enough for them to get 2 events as well.

Speaking of Erokhov.
I can't wait for his FS to 'Io ci saro':love::love:
Softy boss.

Erohkov may need the host spot since he isn't guaranteed any spots. He's 37th on the SB list. He'd get one without the host pick, but might not get two.

S/A are guaranteed one and are higher on the SB list at 32nd, but last year the Parsons and McNamara/Carpenter were both in the top 24 and both only got one spot. P/P got a 2nd via host pick. So S/A may also need a host pick.

S/A are 21st on SB list, as far as I understand it should be enough for them, but will find out on June, 29 :)

As for Erokhov, yes, I agree with you. For some reason I thought that he was higher on SB list and didn't check it

Erokhov is not guaranteed any spot and JW champs do not always get 2 spots (at least not like they used to in the past, the Parsons and the aussies for instance). Pairs field even in post olympic season is soo crowded that I doubt B&K will get a non host 2nd event. I think only S&A on dance have a great chance of getting 2 but if not they should be priority for the COR host pick.

Fine. I love this list anyways.

I'm still hopeful Leonova gets a GP assignment, she's not far off the top 25 SB, plus she's a very beatable skater for host fed's skaters to beat.

No they aren't. They are 32nd: http://www.isuresults.com/isujsstat/sb2017-18/sbtsdto.htm
If you mean WS list, that will get them one spot for sure, but my understanding is once they fill the required spots, they mostly go by the SB list and not the WS list to fill the rest. But they could definitely get a 2nd without a host pick - there's just a possibility they won't.

B/K have a shot at a 2nd non-host pick. They're 19th on the SB list, with a few in front of them who won't be competing. In 2016-17 Kavaguti/Smirnov were 19th and they chose not to compete (IIRC), but Duskova/Bidar were 17th and Wang/Wang were 20th and they both got 2 non-host GP spots.

But I would not be surprised to see B/K at CoR at all.

It'll be hard since there can only be 18 Russian ladies. Assuming these girls get two (which is very likely and/or guaranteed) - Evgenia, Alina, Maria, Polina, Elena, Stanislava, Elizaveta, Daria - that leaves only two spots for other Russian ladies (if they even end up with the full 18 - they had 17 last season. And I think one of those spots will go to a host pick - maybe Anna P or Anastasia Gubanova. Then there's Sofia Samodurova on spot ahead of Leonova if she goes senior.

If she ends up with one, that's kind of epic.

No they aren't. They are 32nd.

Technically, Skoptcova & Aleshin are 32nd on the SB list. But they are not the 32nd team that can be chosen for the GP because a great many teams above them are not competing on the GP.

Virtue & Moir
The Shibs
Weaver & Poje
Fournier-Beaudry & Sorenson
Agafanova & Ucar
Lorenz & Polizoakis
Abachkina & Thauron

That's 7. 32-7=25.

Now, consider the following question mark teams:
Cappellini & Lanotte
Bobrova & Soloviev
Chock & Bates
Coomes & Buckland
Loboda & Drozd

Skoptcova & Aleshin could very well be hovering around 21st as far as actual selections go.
