There are speculations on the Russian forum about Liza Zhuk skating with the Czech pair skater Bidar. They have been seen skating together at a show in Novogorsk. Photos were posted on the forum.
For those who are interested in Russian pairs, Zhuk was a very promising junior pair lady but her ex-partner Britkov was not that great and often did not land the jumps. Her jumps were solid. There was about six years gap between them, so first they had to wait for her to become junior eligible and then about a year or two later he aged out, so they split up. Then Moser paired her with Miroshkin, who used to be also a very promising junior, but then he aged out and got injured during a medical. So he has not been competing properly since 2015, (he did have one competition in 2017 with a new partner who was 8 years younger than him, but their result was not that great and they skated mostly in shows). I am not quite sure what was the purpose of matching a promising skater Zhuk with a male partner who has been out of competitions for four years, but they are at the Russian national team (reserve), so I am guessing it might have been in order to arrange some money for Miroshkin. Maybe a bribe because Miroshkin did not go to court to sue the federation for destroying his career? The medical was compulsory and one doesn’t expect to get injured during the medical. Anyway, Miroshkin works with Lipnitskaya and Ilynikh at their skating school, so I don’t think he has the commitment to do competitive skating.
If Bidar did pair up with Zhuk, would the federation release her? They did not release Osipova to skate with Bidar a year ago.
