As we all know Tiffany was very sick with a serious and nasty disease that has a 3-to-6-month recovery period.
Consequently, Tiff is not yet fully recovered but is determined to compete at Nationals.

With so little preparation time over the last 3 weeks due to the limitations of Tiff's continuing symptoms, it would be great if the fans in the arena could get behind Tiffany and Jon and make a lot of noise (the louder the better) to encourage them and help them make it through their programs.

So sorry for Tiffany's sickness but I am encouraged that they are going to compete at the nationals. I can't be there in person but I send all my best wishes to them. I wish Tiff a complete recovery, strength and happiness.

She is either the bravest or the stupidest to be even attempting to compete.

I just can't quite believe they are there, it makes me so happy after what might have been.
It's been a dark few months.

I think they should give her a massive SO, just for her being able to compete.

The Soloviev story is awful but I didn’t read that it was as bad as some are implying in this thread, I hope I am not wrong Zhulin posted a very banal Insta post today, I assume he wouldn’t be so insensitive as to post something silly if Dima was in a serious condition.

That’s interesting, so in other threads there are many concerned people raising how athletes compete even with injuries, and yet it seems it is ok that Tiffany will be skating while they are not sure whether it will aggravate her neurological symptoms? I know that going to the Olympics is the goal of many athletes, but is this worth it? Trying to qualify at the nationals while risking long term health? Knowing that it can aggravate her neurological symptoms?

Tiffany's neurologist has cleared her for competition after a comprehensive battery of neurological tests.
The neurologist has reassured Tiffany that whilst she is still experiencing neurological symptoms, she will not do herself any long-term damage by continuing to skate and compete.

So the symptoms may be disorienting and uncomfortable but not dangerous.

For example, she has been advised not to fly for 3 months. The flight will not do any damage, but the pressure in the plane would give her a tremendous headache.
