Tiff and Jon on the train to Nationals....

A request to the fans! ๐Ÿ˜˜

As we all know Tiffany was very sick with a serious and nasty disease that has a 3-to-6-month recovery period.
Consequently, Tiff is not yet fully recovered but is determined to compete at Nationals.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ

With so little preparation time over the last 3 weeks due to the limitations of Tiff's continuing symptoms, it would be great if the fans in the arena could get behind Tiffany and Jon and make a lot of noise (the louder the better) to encourage them and help them make it through their programs.

That amazing!!! I canโ€™t believe they are heading to Nationals, that is a major victory in itself! Congrats @taz'smum you must be so proud of your daughter. To be able to even attempt is the reward. What a journey back she must have had from
Being in the hospital.

Thank you @4rkidz! ๐Ÿ˜˜
I can't quite believe she is there! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Not sure if itโ€™s been mentioned anywhere

Olympic figure skating gold medallist Soloviev hospitalised after being attacked in Moscow

Soloviev had been with his girlfriend Anna Sidorova, a two-time curling European champion, and her friends in Moscow.

The 32-year-old reportedly intervened when three men made abusive comments to the group of women when leaving a karaoke bar.

it has but ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Kolyada skates in the last group. Hard to say If it helps or hurts him. I think it will help if he skates nearly clean. I don't expect him to skate completely clean, based on how he has skated this year.

I missed the draw for Men and Ice dance.

And yet again I think it's Nicky and not the logical conclusion...boy he did a big number on my subconscious back in the day (it was totally the relationship with Shae-Lynn)
Different Morozov.
(Not that I understood your post anyway until I got to Shae-Lynn.)
OT: My iPad's manic autocorrect made me type Morozov three times because it wanted me to write amoroso. ?! Usually it hates foreign languages. Well, apparently it does hate Russian, but not Italian.

I thought Tarasova & Morozov looked very relaxed. Hopefully it bodes well ๐Ÿคž

The attire was a mix of high fashion, smart/casual and then Boikova. All the Pairs guys looked good. All the men helped their partner of stage, very gentlemanly.

In the audience everyone wore their mask, apart from (as usual) Mishin. He had a mask but it was on his chin. I really donโ€™t understand why he can not follow the rules like everyone else, it is so disrespectful/ignorant. On the stage the skaters took their mask.

Roll on the Nationals and 3 days of top quality skating.

That's simply not true. They showed plenty of audience shots and among the ones I saw with no mask were Aliev, Shcherbakova, Trusova, Galliamov, Tuktamysheva, Samodurova, even Valieva, and plenty of skaters with their masks not covering their noses for the picky policing types here.

It was highly selective watching if you 'only' saw Mishin ;) and I guess everyone else is just ignorant, too.

But why let it put a damper on what may be the best event of the entire season?

The masks were pointless. The people on stage did not wear them, then most skaters removed them to walk across the stage (breathing in whatever lingered in the air from the skaters before them). The only one I saw consistently wear one was Kolyada. There really is no point in calling anyone out.

I didnโ€™t watch all of the ceremony but the link below is to around the 58:00 and the only person I can see without a mask is Mishin. Valieva wore her mask half way across the stage. The guy at the steps to the stage was suggesting people take of the mask. Scherbakova was wearing a mask when I seen her.

I have found Mishins mask wearing to be so very poor to the point at one of the GPโ€™s he was using it to mop his brow.

You didn't watch the whole thing but you made the Mishin claim? Highly selective watching, indeed.

You provided the link to watch it back if you so choose. The officials weren't masked the entire time and clearly there wasn't an official rule in place that everyone must remain masked. To disprove your theory quickly, though, feel free to go to 1:23:30.

It is said that Soloviev called to police by himself.

His girlfriend says that now doctors donโ€™t let him talk too much (he can do it once or twice a day), she says he wants to sleep all the time and his head is still aching.

I hope Dmitri will be better soon.

WOWWWW All of this for a draw ceremony? This is hard-core.. I wish USFSA would do something more similar

Saint Petersburg is such a breathtakingly beautiful city.
Visited there in 2013- that's a long time. Would love to visit again, particularly for a skating competition.

While we admire the beauty of the city, I cannot forget how many workers died while building that city.
