You are correct. The three turn (to go from forward outside edge to back inside edge) preceding the jump is not a prerotation.

The pre-rotation happens on the takeoff... she picks-in backward but twists on the front of her blade and leaves the ice facing forward. It's a common issue with Russian skaters, not just Eteri's group. Miyahara and Uno have major issues with it too. They're taught Lutz and flip on a loop takeoff rather than a picking-takeoff, so they use a bit of the front of the blade on the pick-in and rotate on the ice before taking off. It's a very technical nitpicking comment that has gained a ton of steam the past year or so thanks to a certain person on YouTube. If you want to get a clear idea of it, watch Tuktamysheva and Zagitova's Lutzes in super slo-mo. Tukta has a true Lutz with a clear pick-in takeoff. Zagitova does more of a pick-in/loop takeoff hybrid and leaves the ice facing forward. The pre-rotation is there, but the ISU has chosen not to address pre-rotation for several Olympic cycles now.

Evan Lysacek, for example, did not have a true triple Axel, but pre-rotated 180 degrees on the ice and took off from a back inside edge (Salchow takeoff) rather than a forward outside edge (Axel takeoff). He won an OGM and the ISU didn't make a peep about pre-rotation then, so I'm guessing it is not something that is going to be addressed in the sport anytime soon.

Not injured, no. It turned out (due to Daniil Gleihengaus) that Alina got a chemical burn on one of her ankles a couple of days before Russian Nationals. So no serious injury, but she was in pain. I think it is reasonable to assume that the burn is more or less healed by now.

I wish they'd just choose the Universiade and worlds team after the Russian Cup final in February to spread around the assignments a bit. Plus Universiade and worlds are only a couple of weeks apart.

She said in a recent interview that although Chebotareva is making her watch her weight, and Stasia had to restrain herself in food and sweets consumption after she turned 15, still her only regret about making the Euro team is that now she can not eat everything she planned to at the New Year's Eve party.

There will be lots of NYE parties in her future. Who knows how many European championships will be. She can skip the sweets just this once. They aren't good for her anyway.
