Who was the red haired girl who sang the first song with Kellie? I was surprised she didn't make it through. Or did she? I got a phone call after Light On and wasn't really paying attention after that.

No she didn't & IMO that was a travesty after the tongue bath they gave her. If they didn't want too many quirky girls they could have cut Jenn. Try as I might, I can't see any appeal in either her singing or her personality. In fact, it would be ok with me if they had cut all the 15 yr olds. Unless Olivia is 15, I like her.

What these judges have lost sight of is the fact that eventually we'll get to start voting & their favs who either can't sing or are clearly not ready will be voted off by the public.

I always wonder if they put through some people as filler to go out in the first half of the top ten so as to not provide competition for those they want to make it farther along. I'm sure Jenn Blosil is a very sweet person, but her vocals are iffy and her musical tastes are too out-there. The closest person in the pop world I can think of that Jenn is similar to is somebody like Bjork, who hasn't had a hit on any US chart since 1999. My guess is that if Jenn were to go far, they'd market her like a quirky Ellie Goulding, but they'd always be pushing her towards dance pop and she'd always be pulling back towards quirkier, offbeat stuff (that pop music would never play).

Others who don't stand a chance of getting any radio airplay are Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Thomas Stringfellow and MacKenzie Bourg.

Nope. Didn't happen. I refuse to accept that. It must have been either Shelby, Adam, CJ, or Amelia who really made it.

That is the same radio space he's in. But, I'm pretty sure radio stations would play them both even if they released music around the same time as each other. I doubt he's as talented as Jason Mraz, though. Like I said, MacKenzie would need to have the right material. I guess the record company could go out and get the people Ed Sheeran worked with and have them work with MacKenzie. But, I get the sense that nobody really cares about the singers this season and there is going to be very little effort to promote the winner's music. The judges and producers do seem to like MacKenzie, but they seem to like LaPorsha and Dalton more. Will we have one more WGWG win? I'm guessing that we will.

The producers seem to be pushing for a female winner. The number of females that made it to the top 14 was 3 more than the males. I wouldn't be surprised if all the females cancelled each other out, since they outnumber the males. Wouldn't it be ironic if a WGWG wins? I'll just vote for the males so that it will screw with the producers plans

The only two that I thought deserved to go through 100% were Avalon and MacKenzie. They did him a disservice a while back by not showing him do his original in full. It really is a great song, I liked it better than most of the classics performed tonight. It should be a single, but unfortunately, it's not what pop radio is playing these days. Maybe if he got Shawn Mendes to do it with him as a duet, then radio would play it. I like Sonika, but her dress, song choice and performance of it were all so dated. Still want her to go through, though. Don't think I care about what happens to the others...

Saints be praised!! American got it right! I was not unhappy with any of the 4 who went home tonight. And the 10 who did make it sounded really good for the most part. I liked Sonika the best voice-wise but Dalton is so darn cute that I have to say he was my overall favorite. I also like Avalon & MacKenzie a lot & Lee is my favorite embryo - he definitely had the best package. He's such a sweet kid.

Both LaPorsha & Trent need a fashion make-over, stat. What's the deal with her dangling a key from one ear? That looks so low rent. But that hair! I just can't. And all Trent needed was a bow tie & a piece of straw in his mouth. He already has the hat to look like a hayseed.

Kelly was the highlight for me tonight. Her song had me in tears. I'm so glad she's in such a good place now. She talks a lot as a judge (not a surprise!) but it's more substance than we usually get from the other judges. She manages to be nice while still providing constructive criticism.

I thought the last four -- Trent, Sonika, La'Porsha, and Mackenzie -- were the best. This was the best I've seen LaPorsha or Sonika, and Sonika picked a difficult song.

IMO, Gianna and Tristan should have gone home weeks ago, so I hope they go home this week.

Dalton and Lee aren't among the top singers, but they are both cute in their own way, and I'm guessing they'll stick around. Olivia and Avalon both have quite a bit of support.

Yes, finally America got it right. I was afraid that America would be influenced by the judges gushing over Jenn. Thank god they didn't listen to the judges.

Mackenzie chose an 'interesting' Idol memory-William Hung. Everyone else chose a predictable one. However Lee chose a contestant that didn't make it to the live shows as his favorite Idol moment.

LOL at Harry for making a figure skating reference. He compared runs to a triple axel, saying that when someone does a run well, the audience claps profusely like when someone lands a triple axel.

Almost everyone performed well, except for Gianna, Olivia and Tristan.

Gianna and Olivia should be gone.

My prediction that the winner will be La Porsha. Runner up will be Dalton or Trent.

Kelly was definitely the highlight for me as well. I was crying as much as Keith! ITA she talked way too much, but that's Kelly. LaPorsha was FANTASTIC! My top 4 for tonight, in order, would be LaPorsha, Dalton, Trent and Sonika with Mackenzie coming in 5th. Judging by live audience reaction, I would say LaPorsha and Dalton are the favorites. The girls never stopped screaming, for even a second, throughout Dalton's performance and the applause went on and on for LaPorsha.

I also agree that Gianna and Tristan should go home.

There were some fun surprises last night. After the idols talked about their Idol memories there was some follow-up like when some of those past idols showed up in the audience. Lee seemed overcome with emotion when he saw his. I wanted to know how that guy's fiancé is doing now. And I loved Kelly's feedback for everyone. She was so spot on.

I have seen maybe 4 episodes of AI in my life. I preferred Justin but never held it against Kelly. This AM I watched her performance from last night, the song about her dad abandoning them. TEARS! OMG, so amazing!

I agree. I haven't voted for her yet & probably won't. I usually vote for WGWGs. I don't buy CDs or downloads of bombastic singing regardless of how good the voice is. The panel keeps raving about how perfect her runs are but I don't really like a lot of runs.
