Jeremy Irons deserves a mention as does Hugh Jackman. I found the young Robert Redford very appealing. I know he's not popular in the press at the moment, but Johnny Depp is simply beautiful. Robert Downey Jr is more than cute.

But my personal favorite might be Ryan Gosling. His face just draws me in. :swoon:

Yeah there are guys who have fallen in the eyes of the public and the press: Mel Gibson. So handsome in the early days and even later in films like "We Were Soldiers...." But then he blew it.

I like pretty men. I see a few mentions of Rob Lowe. I wholeheartedly agree. He is at his most gorgeous is Oxford Blues and http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzibue6nNu1qltxkuo1_500.gif.

Old Hollywood
  • Clark Gable - I use to have a CG website(fan page) about 20 years ago). In my opinion he was way more handsome than Cary Grant. Pic 1 and PIc 2. Joan Crawford who had a long afrair with Clark Gable once said that when Clark walked into a room men and women would literally stop and stare.
  • Gary Cooper - gorgeous beyond belief. His nickname was "stud" and apparently the nickname fit him all over.
  • Rock Hudson
  • Errol Flynn
  • Robert Redford
  • Paul Newman

A young Thierry L'hermitte
Jon Hamm
River Phoenix
Rick Springfield
Brad PItt
Jason Momoa - is my dream man. It does not make sense for a man to be this gorgeous. A most recent picture from upcoming movie where he plays Aquaman
Manu Bennett
Ronn Moss from the Bold and the Beautiful has always been gorgeous.
Orlando Bloom
Matt Bomer
Channing Tatum
Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Henry Carvill - maybe the most beautiful man in hollywood today.
Lenny Kravitz
Shemar Moore
Common
Tyson Beckford
Denzel Washington
Blair Underwood
Boris Kodjoe
Morris Chestnut
Idris Elba

[QUOTE="myhoneyhoney, post: 4524896, member: 5023"]Check it out. My "date" at my Aunt's wedding many moons ago. This was taken after dancing myself silly to try and console myself for that darn bridesmaid dress I had to wear. hehehe

There's a gay indie on Netflix called "Weekend" with Tom Cullen.

The funny thing was I was watching "Downton Abbey" the same night and was like ... this is the same dude going after Mary!

J.J. Abrams loves to highlight Chris Pine's eyes. Yes, they really are that blue in person.

Of course, Brad Pitt in "Legends of the Fall." That movie made him a superstar.

I don't think he's traditionally handsome but Ewan McGregor in "Moulin Rouge."

Rodrigo Santoro in "Love Actually."

Nicholas Hoult has gotten really good-looking.

Okay, I think I've got this link thing figured out.

From John Thornton in the period piece North & South to the spy Lucas North in Spooks, the "hot dwarve" Thorin Oakenshied in The Hobbit, John Proctor in The Crucible at the Old Vic plus many more and coming soon, The Red Dragon in Hannibal...the ever lovely Richard Armitage:

Yes he was fine. The guy who played her other suitor in North and South (the lawyer) was good-looking too.

James Spader. I totally fell for this bad boy in Pretty in Pink.

Clive Owen and Dylan McDermott get honourable mentions.

I know he wasn't the star but I thought Aiden Quinn was at his most handsome in Legends....

Robert Redford (I had a friend who, when she married she said.....I will love you forever....but if Robert Redford calls, I am sorry, but I am out of here!)
Paul Newman ( I had a friend who saw him at a pay phone downstairs in the building where our ballet studio was. She went charging up the stairs to tell the ballet mistress............Screaming :"OMG OMG Paul Newman is downstairs!!....to discover that the mistress was speaking to Joanne Woodward (awkward!)
Yves Montand (GiGi)
Clark Gable (duh)
Spencer Tracy (something very sexy about him)
Jimmy Stewart (don't ask why, cause I have no clue. But I find him utterly attractive).
Humphrey Bogart (be still my heart).

And, has Taye Diggs been in any movies? He is one fine looking man.

Jimmy Stewart's not conventionally "beautiful," but I agree he is VERY attractive in his way. Case in point. :) I've always loved him.

Taye Diggs has done several movies -- I remember him best as the bandleader in Chicago. He is indeed gorgeous!

Some handsome actors I have enjoyed watching over the years include some who were formerly mentioned: Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, Jude Law, Keanu Reeves, River Phoenix, Clive Owen, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Henry Cavill, Colin Firth, Jared Leto, Rob Lowe, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, young Marlon Brando, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Montgomery Clift, Clark Gable. And Humphrey Bogart was appealing even with his rough edges. Also, Jimmy Stewart was quite handsome and a good actor, despite being conservative and square personality-wise. Tony Curtis and Troy Donahue (very good-looking). Young Jack Lemmon also was attractive and funny. Leonard Nimoy quite handsome, intelligent, sexy. Sidney Poitier, handsome, stalwart, and sexy. Six-Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors, and Little Joe Michael Landon on Bonanza. [ETA: Forgot to mention how much I absolutely loved James Caan and Billy Dee Williams in the television movie, Brian's Song.]

Current young actors I enjoy that have been mentioned include Sam Worthington, Charlie Hunnam, Chris Pine, Luke and Chris Hemsworth and not mentioned: Robert Pattinson. Also Benedict Cumberbatch is uniquely attractive (those eyes, those lips). Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne has good looks and humongous talent. Mark Wahlberg also has a certain appeal, and I always found Liam Neeson to be ruggedly handsome and sexy. Also sexy and terrific actors: James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Terrence Howard is pretty and charming. Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas were pretty and dangerous. Plus I loved the original Bond, Sean Connery for his dangerous, sexy charm. [ETA: Ice-T is too pretty and dangerous for his own good. Ryan O'Neal was quite handsome but a dangerous playboy. Also, additional charmers include: Patrick Dempsey, Dermot Mulroney, George Clooney, Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Michael Ealy, and Charlize Theron's ex-boyfriend, Stuart Townsend. In addition, I found Joe Morton to be handsome, loveable and cerebral in Brother From Another Planet. Multi-talented Jamie Foxx is ruggedly handsome and hilarious. I also found funny man Robin Williams to be quite irresistible in a loveable teddy bear kind of way, especially the young Robin Williams along with his best friend and sidekick, the beautiful Christopher Reeve. I kinda fell in love with Keira Knightley's Mr. Darcy, Matthew Macfadyen, in the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice.]

Not mentioned yet I don't think, but I always loved the unconventionally attractive and extremely talented Dustin Hoffman from his breakthrough in The Graduate and throughout his career. I had a thing for the young Robert DeNiro too, and also for Richard Gere. Another fine looking man and a superb actor, Christian Bale (always handsome from his child actor debut in Empire of the Sun and onwards). I was charmed by Heath Ledger and I loved the way he grew as an actor; his voice was quite sexy. While I thought young Tom Cruise was good looking, I fell in love more with Timothy Hutton for his tall good looks and his vulnerability.

I definitely had a thing for Benjamin Bratt and Chris Noth of Law and Order fame. Sexy man, deep sexy voice: Sam Elliott!!! (A lucky lady is his wife, Katharine Ross). Not conventionally handsome perhaps, but a great actor and a sexy guy both young and old: Jeff Bridges (watch young Jeff in The Last Picture Show, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and Starman; he was quite sizzling in Jagged Edge and Against All Odds). I'd love to see Sam Elliott and Jeff Bridges star in a movie together at their current ages -- it would be great with the right script/ story.

Very sexy young men and moody, rebellious actors: James Dean and Steve McQueen (don't miss McQueen in Love With the Proper Stranger, with Natalie Wood).

My all-time favorite drop-dead gorgeous actor: the young Horst Buchholz, especially in Tiger Bay, with the young Hayley Mills in her film debut. Buchholz was also in The Magnificent Seven, and in Fanny, with Leslie Caron: http://www.cinemagia.ro/actori/horst-buchholz-19950/

ETA: I also can't forget to mention Ralph Fiennes, and his brother, Joseph Fiennes. Oh, and Dan Stevens of Downton Abbey fame. Plus, :duh: "Mr. Alright, alright, alright": Matthew McConaughey = sexy, funny, smart. Dirty Dancing's Patrick Swayze will never be forgotten for his down to earth charm, his smooth moves and his good looks.

And how could I forget the man for all seasons and reasons, the tall silent former Rawhide star and Man with No Name in Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns who would go on to achieve super stardom: Clint Eastwood. In addition, the real life decorated WWII hero turned movie Western hero, Audie Murphy: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001559/

And, the beautiful tv singer-actors: Ricky Nelson, Davy Jones, and David Cassidy. I must also mention that I had a crush on the young Beau Bridges (older brother of Jeff Bridges). In fact, Jeff and Beau clearly got their handsome good looks in part from their tall, charming, cheerful and handsome dad, Lloyd Bridges, who appeared in a lot of Hollywood B movies prior to achieving stardom on the small screen in Sea Hunt: http://www.listal.com/lloyd-bridges/pictures

Some absolutely beautiful men in this thread! I have to agree about Jude Law in "The Talented Mr Ripley". He was so beautiful I went to the cinema to see the film several times and every time I was shocked at how beautiful he was. Strangely, I have never seen him look that good in any other film since and all his other roles leave me completely cold. He is now in my "as sexy as a wet hamster" category together with the pretty but completely unsexy Hugh Grant.

Given that Gone With the Wind is one of my all time favourite films and I have seen it about a trillion times, I think Clark Gable made a perfect Rhett Butler, but I have never felt the same about him in other films and his ears distracted me from thinking he is completely beautiful. He had personality though and that brave masculinity. Marlon Brando disliked him I believe and said that Clark always played himself in every film. That may be true, but he was a pretty cool guy if that was really him. I always found his story quite tragic. He was a great man and he even volunteered for WWII.

Young Robert Redford was gorgeous and he was absolutely The Great Gatsby personified. Leo Di Caprio was completely miscast by comparison.

Back to my weird Shane Briant obsession, I think it's his soft voice and the cool psychotic characters he played coupled with his almost doll-like looks which make him so attractive to me. (I feel weird lol). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqIq4k6MTH4

Xela Ita about Tom. Like so many others, I stopped watching him for awhile because he seemed to be off the rails in his personal life and I thought it might be bleeding over into his working life. After a couple of years of no Tom I watched Edge of Tomorrow and when I saw the very last scene of Tom I thought the director made a great choice and I thought Tom was back in some way....maybe not a big way....but back none-the-less.
