I will have to miss more than an hour of this event, from the first group onward, as I have a pre-booked physiotherapy appointment :(

With any luck I might get home in time to see the final group....

I missed the first pair but am now settled for the duration of the event. Good luck to all.

Despite the interesting concept and good lifts, TelCou just didn’t hold me. Splatting on doubles didn’t help.

I'm late to the party because I was starving and had to make lunch, but I really liked the Swiss team. I feel like they have more potential than their low score would indicate; they had some messy moments and need more time together as a pair, but their basic skating skills were solid.

Shallow me can’t get past Heckova’s Olive Oyl bun.

This cover! Make It Stop! And that’s a new one for me… guy going down on the throw. Did he hurt himself?

The guy falling on the throw entrance with the girl landing ok is kind of a rare one isn't it?

Daniel was struggling in some of those elements for sure but I loved the way Neamh was immediately supportive of him. The direct eye contact and warm smile that said, "it's okay." I think, sometimes, the connection and chemistry of the two skaters is as important as any technical element.

Napolitano just hasn't been the same since the injury she suffered prior to the start of the 2024-25 season.

Oh Lord help me... 2nd Italians are skating to Tom Odell - are they actively trying to put me BACK to sleep?

Quattrocchi/Lacasse skate well together, but unfortunately I think the jump elements are always going to be a struggle.

I hope your luck holds. Could be a good day for Canada.
I am PRAYING. I'm far too traumatized from the past couple years of amazing results by most Canadian Junior Pairs all season long only to have their worst performances of the season with major meltdowns at Junior Worlds. Skate Gods - please let both remaining Canadian pairs teams go clean and earn those medals!!!

If anyone is looking for an example of a total disconnect from the music, may I present Mapelli and Grau. And no, I can’t blame it on their short partnership as they were equally disconnected.

truly background music. They were concentrating very hard on their elements.

This is rough for Moss/Galbavy, but they have nice expression.
It wasn't the worst we've seen from them. Kudos for them going for two throw triples, which is a step up from all the previous teams.

Romeo and Juliet in a dress and headband that make Chen look about six. Yikes.

Whoa, very ambitious sbs jumps from Chen/Dong! (Messy though.)

ETA: And I'm surprised that both throws were doubles, given that she is clearly a strong individual jumper. More time needed to develop the pair elements, I guess.

Reagan and Jakub's throw 3sal is right ON the beat of the music. Needed a bit cleaner landing but I liked that. Also, I didn't mind watching their BODS at all. HOW does Deanna Stellato-Dudek always make it look so extremely unattractive?
