Looks like photos are allowed from what I’ve seen on IG, but it’s just with the skaters posed in the background, six feet away.

Also, according to the rules, everyone must wear a mask…so even those far-away photos won’t show a full face.

I hadn't heard of Holt International, but I looked it up online and there are some stories about its operations that are somewhat concerning. It also doesn't get very good ratings from Charity Navigator for its financial performance. If you're thinking of donating at SOI, please do some research first to be sure that you are OK with supporting the organization.

Looks like the SOI cast had a blast in their suite at the Elton John concert in Greensboro last night - Jason shared a photo of the group & a clip: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcjWYaqMNro/
Some (not great) singing along is featured in his IG stories : https://www.instagram.com/stories/jasonbskates/2820219341462426175/

Madi Chock's IG story includes Elton John giving Nathan a shout out! :D https://www.instagram.com/stories/chockolate02/2820335566901927567/

What has Madi H. been up to? She missed WDW and this concert unless she’s the one always taking the photos.

She posted an IG story yesterday at an airport (and asked if people could ID it from the decorations/crafts on display).

I noticed Karen wasn't at the concert, either. Maybe she was still in Orlando sightseeing with her mom. Or not an Elton John fan.

I'm bringing my stepmom with me, she's so excited and would be disappointed about not being able to really meet them like I have in the past. We'll be at Greensboro Wednesday!
@Lanie, hope you both enjoyed the show last night!

Alysa did a brief IG Live last night after she got on the tour bus for the 10-hour (according to C/B's podcast) overnight drive to New Jersey and mentioned her bunk mates on the bus were Karen, Jason, Vincent & Mirai.

ETA:
I got a ticket to the Greensboro show. Anyone else going? None of my friends wanted to go, especially since it's on a Wednesday night & over an hour's drive.
@livetoskate, did you go last night?
And @DreamSkates ?

SOI last night in Greensboro was amazing. Great skating, beautiful costumes, fun music & choreography. It was weird seeing the Coliseum pretty empty, because the last time I was there was for Nationals a little over 2 years ago. However, it made it very easy to get in and out of the Coliseum, and the lines to get food during intermission were very short. Jason Brown got an enormous amount of applause and cheers. I hope he gets to continue performing in shows for years to come. I also finally noticed Zach Donahue and how amazing his presentation and skating skills are too.

SOI show in Greensboro last night was fantastic! What a treat so see these skaters in person. Even some of their competition programs (scaled down but still awesome)
Jason Brown’s Sinnerman seemed the complete program. For which many if use gave him a standing ovation.
We gave Nathan Chen a standing O for his second number. And a big, long standing O at the end of the show.
So much beautiful, creative, skilled and even some funky skating.

I just sent a somewhat irate email to the editors of CT Today regarding their "25 Things to Do in CT This Weekend". No mention of Saturday evening's SOI performance at the XL Center! And that's with Nathan, a Yale student as well as Zach Donahue, a Madison, CT native.

At least the Courant and these other outlets have taken notice; the Hearst publication, not so much. Thanks for sharing.

A friend and I went to the show in Greensboro last night and had a great time. Other than the adoption infomercial prior to intermission (which I just found awkward, and I say that as an adopted child) it was a fun show and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Fabulous, fabulous. The Holt Intl thing was bizarre. The skating? Great. I think as a cohesive whole it was one of the better SOI shows I've seen in person, though I haven't gone since 2013 or so. My stepmom had a blast and was so excited to be at a real skating show versus the club shows she's been to when I was a tiny skater

Jason has that rare ability that I've found only some do where he makes you feel like you are the only one watching him skate and the performance is for you and you only as opposed for everybody in the arena. I've been a fan for a long time but seeing him in a show environment was delightful. Nathan was relaxed, having a wonderful time, and seeing that joy in him was great as well. Everyone was wonderful. I could go on and on in many superlatives on how good it was.

I thought the Coliseum was pretty busy--lower bowl fairly full--for a Wednesday night with little publicity in the area. Very different, chill atmosphere between Greensboro show and previous shows I've been to in Anaheim, LA or San Diego.

(I had 2 extra tickets. Wish I knew other FSUers were going if you needed better seats!)

I agree, the Holt International thing was weird, especially with their people scattered throughout the arena ready to sign you up or whatever. Whatever happened to more legit sponsors like Smuckers, or even Ollie's Bargain Basement (which we have in NC). It was good also to see a big crowd of fans lined up to buy SOI merchandise. I hope the show continues each year so we can still see retired skaters too. Mirai looked great out there & even landed a slightly two-footed triple toe.

Madi Hubbell's Instagram post (and other cast member's insta-stories) show the cast is taking in a NJ Devils NHL game! I love this cast and its outings - so much fun! Glad Madi H. got to take in an event this time... looks like no Alysa, Alexa or Vincent this time.

I am so excited. I am attending the performance in San Jose, CA. It happens to be on my birthday. I am taking two grandchildren, and my sister. AND I have arranged for a limousine. I think the boys will really enjoy it.

The Holt presentation was understandable given Scott Hamilton’s experiences with same. I didn’t mind it. I’ve been to music concerts with similar presentations to sponsor a child in poverty.

Got a reply to my email immediately this morning, apologizing for the oversight. They amended their list and put it upfront!

I went to Orlando show. Wow, just wow. It was beyond amazing and every skater was wonderful. Some standout moments for me...Nathan is phenomenal, to my eye he is a blur in his jumps, so fast! Just an incredible performer and skater. Jason Brown is something to see live. I have never seen another human being in such complete control of his body. He skates from top of his head to tip of his toes. Sinnerman just transports you to another plane of existence!

Alexa and Brandon were also amazing live, Brandon is so strong looking, and seeing their twist (twice!) was breathtaking. It's been so long since we had a pair at SOI. Alexa is so lovely in person and I admire her a great deal for her strength of will.

The dancers (my fave discipline) were amazing, I have a new appreciation for C/B and their glide and ice coverage. Their first number, a love song, was so smooth and they were just flying. It was wonderful to see. Madi and Zach were great, he is a beast! So so strong and muscled. Their power is obvious through and through. I didn't much like seeing their SD in a show version cause I love the pattern and I didn't see it. Maybe a shortened version, I couldn't be sure. They did do twizzles and that was something.

Vincent Zhou was gorgeous. He, too, has beautiful glide and ice coverage. He flew across the ice.

All the ladies were just fine but didn't grab me as much as the other skaters. The group numbers were fun and overall the whole show was simply phenomenal this year. Well worth the cost to see all the top skaters we have.

Went to the Hartford show and overall, this was a very pleasant and well-choreographed/costumed show. The quality of the skating was very good with special kudos going to Jason Brown (exceptional), Vincent Zhou, Knierim and Frazier (showed why they are World Champions), and Karen Chen. Hubbell and Donahue are truly masters of entertainment. Mariah's second number was very well skated.

Nathan skated well but he fell out of a couple of his jumps and choreographic moves. Can't help but be paranoid about that hip. I just hope they're getting him some PT. But you can tell he's really trying to lead this company and performance.

Much as I love Alysa, it appeared that she has checked out, even at the exhibition level. It wasn't that there was a technical issue but one of being truly present. And maybe, it's just me.

Isn't Alysa by far the youngest member of the cast? She doesn't have experience touring, and at some level it is a job with a lot of boring transit time despite a trip to Disneyworld or a hockey game. Combine that with not having close-in-age friends around, and I can see a lot of younger teens getting bored with the whole thing, especially now that she's done with competitive skating. Some skaters thrive on shows/tours. Some don't. Sad, but true.

So has Nathan already given up on the Mathieu Caron Elton John costume? Recent clips I’ve seen on social media of the show have been him in the Olympic Rocketman cosmic shirt.
