I'm happy for Isabeau that she is going to be touring with SOI and working with Kurt. She seemed to really enjoy touring with him, and he said some very sweet things about her. She didn't get to do group numbers when she toured with him before. I hope she will this time. I think it would be great for her to do even a little choreography work with Kurt.

Bummed they aren't coming to my city this year, hopefully they come back next year for the post-Oly tour.

I have zero desire to drive to Hershey on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend (not to mention I hate that venue) so I may skip it this year. :(

I’m disappointed there are not more shows and that there isn’t one closer to me. Also, I was hoping we would see Nathan back.
A reduced/limited show schedule is good, IMO - all these skaters need to be able to focus on the Olympic season. God only knows, Chock/Bates need to be in Montreal working on decent material in June rather than waiting until August.

So they will be selling the pre-sale tickets on Monday Jan 20, 10AM - is this EST?
I plan to watch jr men's practice at Wichita around that time. 😅
Why they have to do everything at these busiest weeks??

@YukiNieve My guess is they think people are paying more attention than usual to skating right about now (not unreasonable) so they're capitalizing on that. Also if someone on the tour does really well at US Nationals, people might want to buy SoI tickets to see that person perform.

What a weird starting time for the San Jose show. 4PM?

NVM -- that's a Sunday.

Hmmm...it looks like the SAP Center is a short walk from the Caltrain station. BarbK D's apartment is a short walk from the San Mateo Caltrain station. ...

The San Jose show usually starts at 4:00 p.m. as it's normally on a Sunday. Usually, it's on Mother's Day, though, and they have a really nice Mother's Day luncheon inside the arena before the show and a few SOI skaters will stop by. You would buy tickets through the Sharks. But it's not on Mother's Day this year so no luncheon. :(

I checked the Stars on Ice website maybe an hour or less after the women had finished the free skates at Worlds and Alysa had already been added to the tour and listed as world champion. That was fast! But since I already have my ticket for the San Jose show I was delighted to see her added. :cheer2:

$130 for Boston CY vs $30 PY is crazy. Likely am not going this year due to that.
To be honest, the cast is likely getting more money. And it’s $100 plus a fee of $4, not $130. FWIW, SCoB’s opening gala with far less star power was $85.

The $130 includes the parking - they did not say if they're doing the free shuttle. Agannis had parking for cheaper and was on a bus/train route and a lot easier to get to. I believe i was at the gala and I was at a bunch of other SCOB shows and even skated in SOI and have not once paid near $130 except for the year I skated in it.

Rehearsals for the Canadian tour began in Halifax, NS yesterday.
The skaters who were just in Japan and skated in the WTT and the exhibition will be a "touch" jet lagged, I imagine.
The first show of the tour will be Friday evening in Halifax followed by Sunday afternoon in Ottawa.
The full tour information is here:

Kurt Browning, who is choreographing all three legs of the tour, is doing a nice job promoting the show:

I wish the shows were being televised in the U.S..

I got an email from the Stars on Ice mailing list, offering half-price tickets for the "Stargazer" add-on at the Vancouver show - basically to watch warmups and then participate in a Q&A with two of the cast members. In Vancouver, it's Keegan Messing and Nam Nguyen.

I'm not sure if the offer is available in other cities, but it expires April 28 for Vancouver tickets.

I was part of a group of 4 who attended the SOI show in Ottawa together yesterday - we all thought the show was great!
It was reminiscent of SOI shows of old where there were small connecting group bits that helped the flow of the show.
We were disappointed with the turnout and expressed fear that low ticket sales might take our city out of future tour itineraries (if there are any).
The crowd was very responsive but there was only one full standing O, at the end of the show.

The review by @SkateGuard from the Halifax show was spot on and much appreciated :)
