Tuktamysheva was transcendent. Seeing her after Kaori showed how much she has worked on and improved every aspect of her skating while Kaori ... hasn't. The same could be said for Rika. Anna is such a finished artist, it's incredible that she just turned 17. The two Russian ladies were in a class of their own tonight.

I hope I never see Rika in that bordello costume again. I'm convinced it is undermining her confidence to have to compete in such a hideous getup.

Nobody "jinxed" Gabi. It would have been a miracle for her to skate well here, given that she hasn't skated well in over two years, hasn't been practicing well, and training centres have been under severe lockdown restrictions.

Actually, that will be Valieva. Anna is never expected to be the winner. Kamila has a 3A and the quads and Sasha has multiple quads and is landing the 3A. On paper they win. But, Anna has sheer determination. This is why she's never the "favorite" to win. She just does.

I love Tuk, but she went to Worlds because Kamilla was too young. She won't be too young next year. Russian Nationals is set up to be another gladiator event. All of them are determined to go to the Olympics. Only 3 of them will.

I find it odd that Simon keeps mentioning the Allison Schumacher is originally from China. From what I can tell she moved to Canada with her family super young and has only skated for Canada.

She was adopted as a baby from China, I find it rude how it keeps going on like she had a life there and then chose to skate for Canada

It's a joke. Simon has a history of saying things like "surely he/she/they will be right at the top" before a skater even starts the program and then the skater has a meltdown.
