2018 Summer TV New/Returning Shows

Question for those who are watching Billions, regarding the finale of Season 3.

I don't quite understand why Chuck was fired and Sacker and Connerty sided with Jock. I can understand Connerty because Chuck fired him. But not Sacker, as she's already indicated she finds him to be a douchebad (when he wanted to put the guy who was beaten by guards and killed a guard on trial). Are we to assume that Sacker made that decision because of the political advantage that comes with supporting Jock?

There were comments about Elementary a couple pages back somewhere. I don't watch the DVRd episode right away, so this is about the 6/4 episode I watched last night. No spoilers, but I just wanted to mention that there was a stray cat walking in the background of one of the scenes! I rewound (do you "rewind" a DVR, ha ha?) to see it again.

You don't see animals unless they are part of the story (dead person had a cat or whatever) or background of extras walking dogs in a park if that was where a body was found or something. It was just walking along the edge of a building way in the background. If something like that happened, you'd think they would reshoot the scene, but I guess nobody noticed. Or figured, realistically we're outside so there might be a stray cat somewhere.

It's around the half hour mark, right after that creepy guy hits Hannah's car, Sherlock and the captain talking in a parking lot, facing the camera.

I just thought that was funny.

This is going to be almost hunt and peck because I just spent the morning at urgent care getting a splinter removed from my left first finger (of course <try typing all the common words without it>, but at least it wasn't my right hand), bleeding for 15 minutes, pressure dressing, and a bandage three times the size of my finger. But I can't do much else here.

So, yesterday while it was storming, I was watching two good ER reruns that I DVRd and, good grief, during an episode from 2000, which I've probably seen 10 times, there was a stray person ducking down in the background when Carol and Luka walked into one of the rooms. All in black, just like the stray cat. A crew member or something. I rewound that a couple times too. It was at approx. 48 minutes of "Be Still My Heart", if you can check it out online.

Is my t.v. haunted or is somebody sending me a message?

My finger felt better before the splinter removal. It didn't hurt to type. It was just numb. I can put Neosporin and a bandaid on in a couple more hours. This is giving me a headache..........

I just finished up watching The Crossing and I am :wuzrobbed this show got canceled! Another good ending that would lead into a good second season, just like Deception, which also got canceled. I hate it when they cancel shows I like!!! Looking at the shows that are coming up in the new Fall Season, the only one I'm interested in is Manifest. Why couldn't they keep The Crossing and Deception!

Just saw Trial and Error is coming back on July 19! I loved that show! No John Lithglow obviously since they will focus on a new case, which is Kristen Chenoweth , but looks like all the crazy cast is back! :cheer2:

Hey all,
does anyone read "A Discovery of Witches" series by Debora Harkness? I've seen this trailer and it's sooo... Twilight-y, but Matthew Goode
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obYBmdi4U9A
I will definitely give it a chance, only for Matthew Goode's sake. But currently I am thinking if I need to read some of those books prior to the show - usually I try to read a book if I am planning to watch a show in the future, but I won't to waste my time on badly written cliché-ForbiddenLove-UST thing.

That looks like Twilight by filmed in the style of Fifty Shades of Grey. It looks interesting but I wonder if the lead female character is more interesting than what the trailer portrayed. I admit I ended up rolling my eyes when he was like she's so powerful and she's all like "I don't know how to control it." I need a new type of female protagonist for these sorts of stories.

NNNNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! :wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed If the only reason ABC scrambled to scrap something together with the Roseanne "reboot of a reboot but without Roseanne" (which I'm sorry, but that is going to tank big time) was because the Fall schedule was already set and they had nothing to show in the time slot (which I've read a few times), why couldn't they dump that ridiculous "reboot of the reboot" notion and pick up Timeless instead!!!!!

I just thought I'd share the fact that Steven Universe, a show on Cartoon Network aimed at children with a big adult fanbase (probably mostly adults), just had an episode featuring a wedding between two female characters and actually showed them kissing on the lips after the "I do"s. I always said this was the most progressive show on television and they did not disappoint tonight. I think it may be the first same-sex kiss on children's animated (or even otherwise) television.

???????.....:p Is this what I think it's about? I've watched a few videos on Youtube. But a TV show?

The promos I've seen on TLC seem to address reconstructive procedures vs. strictly "cosmetic" surgery.
I haven't viewed her on YT.

Not new, and I know people can watch these things on youtube or whatever whenever they want (I guess), but I'd rather watch the good old stuff in the evenings when there's nothing else on. I go through the guide and notice specific things to record.

The Grey's episode where Derek died is on at 5 p.m. today. I only ever saw it the first time. Lifetime is now running some of the later seasons - 2015.

And tomorrow on POP, the series of episodes when Mark died starts at 11 a.m. On the Beach is on at 2:15 p.m. :wuzrobbed (My throat closes up just thinking about it.)

The episode where Carol goes to Seattle to be with Doug is on Tuesday the 17th. I forgot to write down the time (11 a.m.?) after I set the DVR.

Edited to add - I went to look - 12:06. They add extra commercials so every one is longer than an hour.

I had it DVRd on the last reruns and the schedule page changed and it taped the wrong one! It runs a marathon on Saturdays, which is different than whatever episodes they show through the week. I'm going to be sitting there making sure I get it this time.

On another subject, Kelly being there is ruining Jack and Ozzy's chemistry. They just spend their time arguing like 12 year olds.

I DVRd today through the 4:25 episode where (spoiler ha ha) Dr. Romano gets squished by a helicopter. Either that one or the one where he got his arm chopped off is ranked as one of the most shocking moments on t.v. Yep to both. I'd have to look it up, but the one I always remember as the most shocking thing I ever saw was from LA Law, where that female lawyer turned around to get on the elevator and it wasn't there. I think about that EVERY time an elevator door opens in real life and on t.v.

I’m sad to see Pose on FX come to a close. I was getting invested and 8 episodes just isn’t enough. It was renewed for next summer, but I don’t want to wait that long.
