One charity, Julia's House, said it would be "inappropriate" for the Duchess of York to continue as a patron of the charity. It comes after it emerged she wrote an email apologising to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

I think it's a little of both. But I really believe the latter happened regardless of her feelings on pedophilia* when people she likes do it.

I don't think we ever knew their nanny's name, which was probably a good sign. So perhaps they had some stability from her and each other.

The princesses were very close to their grandmother. I believe the Queen had a special relationship with Zara, Eugenie, Beatrice, Lady Louise and also Margaret's family Lady Sarah Chatto and her daughter Lady Margareta Armstrong-Jones.
