Pairs SP
Liu & O'Shea - Decent for a new pair. Impressive lift. However after all the Tarah drama I have him along Vanessa James in the circle of distrust zone.
Pepeleva & Plehskov - Classic style and nice speed but lack a bit of charisma.
Walsh & Michaud - Damn he looks suddenly hot. I think they have improved in power but the elements were yikes, really nasty fall.
Knierim & Frazier - A bit hectic but this could be a hit down the road. The best part was Chris on the stands.
Miura & Kihara - A team on the rise!! His epression at the end was everything. Loooved it.
Calalang & Jhonson- These two really need to regain all the momentum lost and this was good step on that direction.
Boikova & Koslovski -awfull out of sych salchows. After 2 "rising to the ocassion" moments, this felt a bit meh and been there, done that.
Tarasova & Morozov - SP specialists. Let's see tomorrow.

Best Dressed - Alexa
Do Hard - Original Knierim.

Men SP

Overall, the guys never fail to keep being awesome one second and craptastic the next.

Zhou - If I were skater I would also skate to a song with my name on olympic season. Plust Vincent is a great song. Program quite generic though.
Ma -quad combo ohh... great he delivered but classical is desfinetly NOT his style. It was like he was bored and then felt contrived at the steps. Why did UKR Elvis withdrew?
Brezina - The season I started following skating religiously was when he started to rock the junior circuit, so I feel like I have grown old along Michal. Nostalgia aside, his skating has become a one trick mediocre pony. A poor man's Fernandez.
Nguyen - 3 swan lakes already!! YEps, we're on olympic season indeed. I fear chosing between him and Sadovksy is going to be a "who did less mistakes" battle. What's up with his nose???
Danielian - he's so skinny he can still rotate quads like a Tutberidze girl but he goes way too cautious into the take offs. A disaster but at least not as disastrous as I thought it would be after tests.
Sato - Shame about the axel, not sure if skating injured was the right move but love the way he presents himself. Between him and Kagiyama JPN future looks great.
Siao Him Fa - well, this was a literal trip to the dark side of skating performances. #POTS nominee
Aymoz -Noo, I love the Prince program but that means everything will get blocked on YT becausee of copyright issues.. Scratch it!!!! Also, if you're not yet back into shape and going to act so defeated I think it was better to withdraw. Can not feel bad for you. Another #POTS nominee.
Uno - a worthy olympic contender program. Loved the step sequence.
Grassl - those spins and his look is lovely but he's making it easy for Frangipani to sneak onto the team.
Chen - Aaaaand a splatty ending to a yike worthy splatfest night. I dunno why USFS accepts being the first GP event , it usually is the worst skated.

Best Dressed - Uno
Do Hard - Grassl

Zhou was fantastic.
Aymoz was over scored. No way should his PCS have been that high with his power skating after falls and taking forever to get up, and completely lacklustre performance until his footwork in the last 30 seconds. That fall on his 3A made me think of the Zhangs fall in the 2006 Olympics

What a totally :gallopin1 men's SP

(((Kevin))) If the French fed really forced him to skate injured, I'll be after them with pitchforks:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire So much MESS and POTS and everything, it was just sad. If he wasn't injured before, he for sure is now. Knees and tailbone slammed:(

Weird falls all over the place. Who had predicted Jimmy Ma leading Nathan? Speak up! Jimmy with manbun, then letting his hair loose before the final spin was too much fun.

Shoma's program was beautiful. 2f:wall: show me ONE skater who benefited from being coach by Lambiel.

Grassl tries really hard on the PCS and I'll give him credit for that, but his pattern of movement is nowhere near Kolyada, he's so very different from him and Kolyada WAS that White Crow music. So, I can't really gel with Grassl's try just yet.

The second group of men was for sure a colourful bunch:p I approve Nathan going back to Benjamin Clementine though. Except his program was :gallopin1 as well.

My pair was AWSOME! Go Japan!

So this event gave us three Swan Lakes already.
But Alexandra Boiikova....you can't keep smiling through that drama, come on! At least Nam was suffering like hell through his program. Hand-to-face-o-graphy and all.

Well thinking back to Shoma sitting alone dejected in the KNC after bad skate after bad skate, Lambiel is a step up. And I can't remember the last time he landed a 4/3 combo. They seem to have a good rapport and Shoma is looking really good so far this season.

Shoma is also back in Japan and Lambiel's coaching is limited to Zoom sessions. Methinks that Shoma working out some of his technical issues has very little to do with Lambiel and more to do with whomever is helping him in Japan.

Oh I didn't know he was back in Japan. I stand corrected then.
