Which is reminding me (re: Sweden) - Abba is making a comeback :cheer: Just announced today
Two incredible new ABBA songs (I may have gotten choked up watching the video today) + the long awaited international K&C return of Tsareva. It was a good day.

Zakharova has improved since last year, great job Tsareva. Jumps seem bigger, skating seems bigger, good performance, good program. She deserved more GOE on the 2A (that entrance! :swoon: ) and the combo. I would have had her much closer to first.

Lots of other great performances today, but I'll save that for the JGPF thread. :)

Happy Birthday unknown-kid!
Awesome collage by Sokolovskaya! ?

Obsessed! I've watched this three times and I'm hardly a fan of dance.

Love his costume, the attitude, the all out attack. So good.

Poor Kostiukovich. Even if they skate all the elements cleanly, that program is so bad and so generic and so beneath her.

For all those who never knew or have forgotten: last season's programs.
SP
FS

SP worked her fierceness, FS his classics!
This is, how it's done!

Bossman's angels preparing for the season, Channel 1 vlog from Rukavitsin & Sokolovskaya's camp in Latvia

Bossman's angels
Thanks so much @Ka3sha .

Conclusions of this footage:
1. I need to party with Kondratiuk
2. Samarin going into that spiral is the most hideous thing I have eve seen
3. Stuff of my dreams

All this within 48hrs.
having watched the junior pairs, I see that another :sekret: campaign to remove a Mukhortova is necessary. It took a few years for Trankov to get him the right partner
We'll not mention that trip to junior worlds that should have been hers. It all went downhill from there. :drama: It was 2018 and they sent Konstantinova instead. She was robbed of the bronze medal at junior nationals. :drama:
Much as I adore Khuda, this team is better. With some more experience behind them, they are way better than the 2nd tier senior teams and will be ready to move up quickly.
Verdict:
Declared guilty of treason.

Khuda maybe (but I'll give her a chance to prove me wrong)

Jr. Worlds, yes, still bitter.

Murkhortova you know he'd be better with another partner. Just have to find the right one. :D

Junior men's events are always a bit :gallopin1, but after three JGPs it seems clear that among the juniors the men suffered the most during the YKW disruption. Women, pairs, dance all seem at least comparable to pre-YKW levels (and I would actually argue that the standard in non-Russian girls that we saw in the first few events is, if anything, higher than in a lot of recent JGPs).

I think it has more to do with it being an Olympic year. Most of the top juniors moved up to seniors, so you have less experienced competitors out there. Women is so competitive that the top ones move up as soon as their age eligible, but the Men tend to stay Jr for a bit longer. Kagiyama, Samsonov, Semenenko and others probably could have done another year on the JGP (probably not Kagiyama since he medaled at worlds) if they weren't trying for the olympics. Let's see how the next competition goes, I think there might be some stronger competitors there.
