Danny O'Shea is such a good partner. No shade to Chelsea Liu because I thought she was great too, but my eye was definitely drawn to him.

It was nice seeing Chelsea & Danny compete for the first time. They're two skaters I would never have imagined together ... but they match surprisingly well! Nice twist and some very nice lifts! of course, Danny has always been very good with lifts ... and some pretty air positions for Chelsea. Will look forward to seeing more of them. Nice to see Kate back on the ice too. Obviously, she and Matej have a way to go, but hopefully they make progress this fall.

Same! I'm not sure why I didn't notice it when he skated with Tarah but he really is such a good partner. She hit some beautiful positions in the lifts and the twist was great. She had trouble with the throws (2-footed one in the SP and FS each, doubled, IIRC, the other in the FS) so there's work to be done but impressive for such a short time together.

Reading the protocols - seems like all the dance teams were using last season's programs still? Tea Time Foxtrot pattern for the juniors and Finnstep for the seniors.

This is Hanna Harrell's first competition with Misha Ge as her coach - he choreographed her new SP to Franz Liszt's Liebestraum that she is debuting next.

ETA: Rough jumping day for Hanna -- 1Lz, 3F fall, 1A -- but I do like her classical program.

ETA: Doubled the flip so not today... threw in the 3T+3T(fall) instead of the 3Lo combo, nice 2A.
