Yes, I posted about this unfortunate situation after Easterns - I first noticed this "policy" after 2023 U.S. Nationals event videos were uploaded in the Fan Zone -- all without audio. The reply I received from a USFS staffer earlier this month re. the Fan Zone replay videos: "Same as last year for Video On Demand content, no audio. Not what we’d wish for, but doing as told."
