They were over 73 at Nebelhorn.
Nebelhorn, Shmebelhorn.

Listen, I do think they can score well with this program and, at min, beat SDDes in the SP, which would be a massive surprise if they're 4th in Boston in either segment, but that score was generous like SDDes' SP score was last week.

So, Emily got a q on her 3T, Alisa got a <<

3tw - L4 for ChanHowe; L3 for EfiMit
BODS - L3 for ChanHowe; L4 for EfiMit
throw - 3F for ChanHowe; 3Lo for EfiMit
rest of their elements the levels were the same

ChanHowe actually had the higher PCS - TES was a .01 margin in favor of EfiMit

All in all, the scores seem fair and reasonable.

I for one love nationals inflation when it's given to people i like
LOL - I mean, I came into this week with the expectation that neither EfiMit nor ChanHowe had a prayer at winning because there was no way the USFS wasn't going to make damn sure their GPF qualifier lost (barring multiple falls & perfection from the other teams). And, I like KamOShea's programs this year a LOT more than SDDes, plus I want 3 teams for the Olympics, so if they're doing what they need to do to set KamOShea up for bronze in Boston, I can accept this. And the judges made it clear that ChanHowe and EfiMit are WELL ahead of the rest of the field, so Nats-flation has benefitted my faves and (barring multiple falls) both should be on the 4CCs team. I'll be sad for whomever misses the Worlds team, but I knew one of them was going to be in spectator seats in Boston already.

Shin and Nagy are stunning already. Her death spiral position is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in a long time. The soufflé is still in the oven as Moskvina would say but I’m excited for them.

My feed cut out on Peacock before Ellie and Danny finished so I missed the big score. You can’t start watching late or your feed may disappear suddenly if it ends before you do. They looked great for the first 3/4 I saw.

Chan and Howe are my personal favorites. Happy that they are really looking more like their old selves. The commentary on Peacock said the same thing I do…I’d like to see them interact with each other more.

Effimova and Mitrofanov are so good. He is so consistent. That footwork was sooooo good!

Martins and Bedard were delightful and a nice surprise to hit.

Here's the press conference. Kind of sad to see how few people there are in that room interviewing the skaters. Back in my day, about 20 years ago, the room would be so packed you would have journalists and people standing in the back.

Went to go rewatch the pairs short program. I think this may have been the best short program for US pairs ever.

MarBed they were extremely good, they just have the crash on the triple twist but they’ve always had the crashy twist. All I can say is at least they’re not doing a double? I think they have the best side-by-side spins of any team. They have very good throws. I can always feel comfortable that they’re going to land their jumps. Even the lift has improved noticeably well. I thought this would have been at least well over 63 points. With their choreography, I thought they had a lot including the ending which seems to be a false ending at first. You think it’s over but you realize it’s just part of the choreography.

ShiNag as Ben said, it looks like she was born to be a pairs skater, very very well done. I mean she’s won a medal on the Grand Prix circuit so you know she can get the jumps done. And he has to be one of the best male partners along with volodin.

McPark I think I would’ve had them behind Marbed but I understand their twist is better. For someone who was a single skater she has issues with the jumps. I usually feel the most nervous for them when they skate.

EfiMit love the program, love the tango, love the ending. And again, she as we all know will have issues with the jumps, that I think will always be the determining factor where they place. He is a great partner, and will be interesting to see if they can retain the silver.

ChaHo I like their costumes. again, I feel nervous for them because of all of their injuries. But this is the best I’ve seen them in a short program in a little while, I actually thought that would’ve scored higher. And I think they’re safe for the podium.

CamO’ that was sensational, wow, she got the throw landed, let’s see if she can do two landings in the free now… They’re side-by-side spins, though I think will always be one of the worst in the top five. Now, if they can produce these skates in Boston, I think they are threat for top-five, if not the podium, especially at a Home worlds!!

Uhm, no. You cannot count the pandemic SkAm medal. Not even the ISU counted those competitions for SBs or WS points.

GP medal or not, Audrey Shin was a credible senior singles skater who was often discussed as having an outside shot at a National singles medal / World team berth. She is one of the most "high profile" senior women to switch to pairs in recent times.

I think she looks great as a pairs skater and look forward to her and Nagy continuing to grow!
