I got nuthin' for Masked Singer. :p I think Piglet might be a football player and Chameleon is a basketball player, but I don't know who any football or basketballs players are to even make a guess. The only sports people I know are skaters and gymnasts and high profile Olympic athletes.

Its still fun to watch though, even if I can't even fathom a guess. I'll come back and read everyone's spoiler tags after the show ends.

Did anyone watch United States of Al? I laughed out loud at a couple of parts. And it had a couple of awww moments.

I wasn't expecting much as most new comedies don't do much for me. The only current ones I watch are Young Sheldon and Mixed-ish (both of which I love). United States of Al has an excellent cast and they really worked hard to make something out of the crappy script they were given. The lead character (played by Adhir Kalyan) really brought a lot of charisma to his performance, but he simply didn't have much to work with. Hope all the actors find stronger projects in their future.

When the weather is crap I have Paramount/CBS All Access to watch and I'm currently watching the second season of "The Good Fight." One of my favorite supporting characters from "The Good Wife" is Elspeth Tascioni and she made an appearance in the episode I'm watching today. She is a hoot.

Carrie Preston is wonderful. But I also love the regular female roles in this show. Good stuff.

Has anybody else been watching Soul Of A Nation (Tuesday nights at 10pm on ABC)? I've been enjoying it. Last week was about athletes using their visibility to stand up against injustice. I didn't expect this topic to be something I would really get into, but it was presented so well, I watched without checking Instagram (which I often do with shows that are good, but don't need my full attention). My favourite segment of the show is In The Kitchen, hosted by Sunny Hostin (who is one of the hosts of The View). I wouldn't mind seeing a spin-off of this segment made into it's own weekly show.

Just watched Home Economics. I wasn't expecting much, so ended up pleasantly surprised. I also wasn't expecting such rapid-fire dialogue. So if you check it out, pay attention or you could miss a lot. Which you don't want to do because the writing is quite good. My favourite line was when the girls go inside to check out some new dolls. And one of the girls says...

Ooh! What are their pronouns?

I enjoyed Rebel (with Katey Sagal), the show based on the life/career of Erin Brokovich. It's a light drama in the vein of Bull. The tone is so much the same that I just reviewed the crew of each show to see if some of the people who make Bull are also putting together Rebel (doesn't look like it). All-star cast, including Andy Garcia, John Corbett, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio (Nashville) with Mary McDonnell and Adam Arkin (who might be guest stars instead of series regulars). It's light fun in the form of a drama, which I need as a break from other stuff I like which can be quite heavy in tone.

Tuesday, April 20 - CRUEL SUMMER - Freeform - 9 p.m. (Psychological Thriller)

Just saw that this show is debuting in Canada on the W network. Premise of the show from wikipeida:

The show depicts the long-term effects of a kidnapping on a community of Skylin, Texas, focusing on three days over the course of three years—June 21 in 1993, 1994, and 1995. Kate Wallis is a beloved popular girl who one day disappears without a trace. Jeanette Turner is a nerdy wannabe who is accused in the case of Kate's disappearance, which results her becoming the most despised person in America. The episodes tell the story of each one and how the disappearance of Kate intersects with everyone's lives.

I'm a bit behind on my TV watching, but wanted to comment on the recent episode of The Masked Singer because there were a lot of good performances. And the two that were eliminated SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN! How I’d rank the perfromances:
  1. Russian Dolls – 24K Magic. SO good, especially considering this is not their genre of music.
  2. Crab – In The Air Tonight. The gravelly sound of his voice worked well with this song.
  3. Black Swan – Use Somebody. Fantastic.
  4. Yeti – Lonely. The vocal was so smooth and perfect, it seemed like a recording was being played while he skated around.
  5. Seashell – I Think We’re Alone Now. Flawless vocal, but I would have been okay with her playing with the song a bit to make it more her own.
  6. Robopine – Let’s Get It On. Not bad at all, but overall, kind of non-descript.
  7. Chameleon – Regulate.
  8. Piglet – The Pretender. No matter what he sings, his voice is always a giveaway. I like when performances sing outside of their genre, but I think he should stick to pop and R & B lite.
I think Robopine and Chameleon should have been the two to go home. Piglet I would not have cut because of past performances.

I loved the original Ice Castles.

My favourite character was Sandy. She was such a motor-mouth, and so spunky at the same time. Was sorry they didn't have the same character in the remake.

@PeterG

I think Robopine and Chameleon will be next. Do you mean Crab instead of Piglet? I don't think he's been revealed yet. Overall I am ok with Seashell and Crab. I don't think either would have made it to the end although Crab probably deserved at least one more week.

I’m really enjoying Cruel Summer so far. It has good twists that stray from the usual predictable turns.

Me too!! Did I read there are only 5 episodes? If there are, they need to answer a LOT of questions in just 3 more hours. I hope its more episodes than that though.

I really want to see how Jeanette becomes so involved and accepted in the popular group in less than 12 months, that is a year ahead of her in school, after being the nerdy sophomore who they didn't even know who she was, to now she's best friends with them and dating the BMOC. That just would of never happened in my experience of my high school.
