Top 12 Ice Dance

1) Davis/White :cheer2: 🇺🇸 When I started watching dance, I didn't think their level of international success would ever happen for an American team
2) Denkova/Staviski
3) Papadakis/Cizeron
4) Anissina/Peizerat
5) Hubbell/Donohue
6) Delobel/Schoenfelder
7) Virtue/Moir the early years
8) Belbin/Agosto
9) Drobiazko/Vanagas
10) Usova/Zhulin
11) Cappellini/Lanotte
12) McNamara/Carpenter When she showed up as an 11-year-old to compete in junior dance at nationals with red knee-high boots and the sound of telephones ringing in their OD, I became a fan for life :)

Doing pairs, I realized once again: Pairs is my absolute favorite discipline!

Boss' All time favorite list
Pairs Top 20

1. Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze
2. Savchenko/Szolkowy
3. Totmianina/Marinin
4. Panfilova/Rylov (yes, they are already that high for me! I am ubering so hard :gallopin1 )
5. Mukhortova/Trankov
6. Stolbova/Klimov
7. Martiusheva/Rogonov
8. Zabiiako/Enbert
9. Obertas/Slavnov
10. Iliushechkina/Maisuradze
11. Petrova/Tikhonov
12. Sui/Han
13. Moore-Towers/Moscovitch
14. Pang/Tong
15. Kavaguti/Smirnov
16. Fedorova/Miroshkin
17. Mishina/Mirzoev
18. Vigalova/Zakroev
19. Efimova/Korovin
20. Zhang/Zhang

I went Top 20 to give some foreigners a chance, but as you see, I am literelly addicted to RUS pairs  (especially to hopeless junior pairs :drama: )

I guess Gordeeva/Grinkov would have been totally my thing and high on my list but this was way before I was following closely.

Famous boss fav's not even making Top 20: Mari, DivaVera, Bidar :drama:

Confirmed: Bossman’s got taste!

Shouldn’t we have our do-hard-lists over the years too? Mine started in the early 90ies with Grinkov, Ponomarenko and Dmitriev sr:D

Okay, this is going to be fun. Maybe we should all get quarantined in our houses more often 😂

Ok pairs top 12, again not in order except the first one :p

1. Savchenko/Massot/Szolkowy
Berton/Hotarek
Boikova/Kozlovski
Cain/LeDuc
Dube/Davison
Marchei/Hotarek
Moore-Towers/Moscovitch
Mukhortova/Trankov
Sale/Pelletier :p
Seguin/Bilodeau
Stolbova/Klimov pre her haircut :p
Sui/Han

Honorable mentions also to Duskova/Bidar, McLaughlin/Brubaker, Kayne/O'Shea....

And like @Jeschke , I could really dedicate a whole list to RUS junior pairs who either made it or didn't (mostly didn't)... or will or won't (of the current ones). :drama:

BTW does anyone else confess to scrolling through the ISU bios page to make the lists.

Approved!

Pairs:
Moskvina:saint:
Stolbova/Klimov
Boikova/Kozlovskii (yes, that soon and that high  )
Sui/Han
Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze
Gordeeva/Grinkov
Totmianina/Marinin
Mishkutenok/Dmitriev
Zhen/Zhao
Bazarova/Deputat (surprise-surprise, even for me)
Moore-Towers/Moscovitch

Don’t know what to say about Volosozhar/Trankov and Aljiona with both partners. They are definitely among the greatest ones, I did truly enjoy some of their programs, appreciate their paths in sport, am very glad with how the things end up in the end (poor Robin though), but can’t say I am/was a big fan of any of them..

Ladies (non-order):
Kostner
Tuktamysheva
Asada
Sotnikova
Arakawa
Kwan
Konstantinova
Kostornaia
Medvedeva (mostly due to her off ice personality and this year Rostelecom, but I can’t help)
Higuchi
Bell

Too many current skaters, am sure I’m missing someone from the past.

The best master list so far!

I tried to make a top 10 ladies list before, but gave up because it was too difficult.

The very best I can do is a top 31. :drama:

Alena Leonova
Anastasia Galustyan
Anastasia Gimazetdinova
Anna Pogorilaya
Anna Rechnio
Ashley Wagner
Carolina Kostner
Caryn Kadavy
Dasa Grm
Denise Biellmann
Elena Liashenko
Elizabeta Tuktamysheva
Fumie Suguri
Joshi Helgesson
Kaori Sakamoto
Krisztina Czako
Laetitia Hubert
Loena Hendrickx
Mao Asada
Maria Butyrskaya
Mariah Bell
Marina Kielmann
Nicole Bobek
Olga Markova
Sasha Cohen
Satoko Miyahara
So Youn Park
Surya Bonaly
Tonya Harding
Vanessa Gusmeroli
Viktoria Helgesson

Alphabetical order! Fancy!

Top 12 Pairs

1) Gordeeva/Grinkov
2) Sui/Han
3) Sale/Pelletier
4) Mishkutenok/Dmitriev
5) Meno/Sand
6) Shishkova/Naumov
7) Shen/Zhao
8) Boikova/Kozlovski
9) Wotzel/Steur
10) Iliushechkina/Maisuradze
11) Stolbova/Klimov
12) Brasseur/Eisler

I'm very much a fan of pre-COP pair skating. #sorrynotsorry

ETA: oops, had two eights listed. :gallopin1 Oh well, top 13 pairs!

Valid!

Now Boss, you're next!
To start, I gotta mention the problem: all the 'ancient' guys (embarassing ones) I thought were pretty hot back then, I don't think they're hot anymore when I watch it now, so I'll just stick with the current ones. Hope that is fine.
But for the embarassing factor, I was totally in for Ovsyannikov, Kostomarov, Dinev for example.
Abt, I think looks still so pretty, but pretty ain't do-hard, so 🤷‍♂️

Boss' Do-Hard Top 12
(of course in order!)

1. Bidar
2. Ambrulevicius
3. Belohradsky J.
4. Aliev
5. Bukin
6. Steffan
7. Bagin
8. Windsor
9. Michaud
10. Chen
11. Bazin
12. Guarise

Conclusion: My taste in guys is as tragic as my taste in skating :D

I started messing around on the internet and ended up finding out how Warsaw and Lodz (according to The Telegraph, the "Manchester of Poland") are actually pronounced and now I am SHOOK.

My do hard list is pretty short
Guarise because, well just look at him.
Szolkowy same as above. That photo op session he did with Savchenko was :smokin:
Trankov
Brezina its the eyes

I would have included a certain French skater, but now, just no. Zero attraction.

Otherwise most skaters are sort of cute, but that's pat on the head, not do hard in my way of thinking. Few single skaters make the cut.

Yeah, she really did. I'm holding out hope that if we have a GP season this fall, she will be on it. #hopedieslast
