Shit program and bad politics in 2005. I also feel like it’s no coincidence they went straight back to the top once Navka & Kostomarov retired.

IJS and their programs. They had massive missteps in their 2004-2005 season with their program choices, and some say B/A were propped up to create a gap between N/K and the rest with DenStavs being targeted because at the time there was no guarantee Tanith would get citizenship to compete at the Olympics. I just think they had trouble getting those high levels on a few of the elements, especially the twizzles. But then they became World champs a month after this Olympics with Navka out of the way, so maybe...
