Update: Bossman 1 & 2 agreed that the next thread will be opened after GP season is finished.
This brings the Rukavicin thread title in pole position, or @SmallFairy might shorten her s/s-loveletter a bit, as this is a :sekret: favourite of the bosses :P
 
Very late Skate Canada LP recaps, so I'll try to be brief.

PAIRS.
D&F - I love the irrepresibles but they are too depressing for figure skating. Sloooow.
R&W - forgot them already.
A&W - at least they seem to acknowledge each other on the ice.
W&M - its quite sad these 2 are probably going to worlds ((CAN pairs))
B&K - Nothing extraordinary but damn it feels so good to watch classic russian pair with a classic russian program and Moskvina in the K&C.
MT&M - nice build up for the program. I liked it.
P&J - love them but kinda wuzgifted here.
J&C - is it still on their confort zone? Yes but I dont f-cking care. That was an awesome performance and every top athlete has the right to be a bit arrogant when they know they are that good (just ask Scott Moir).. MAGNIFICAT!! :encore::encore:

Best-Dressed - Boikova & Kozlovski. :swoon:
Do-Hard Award - Kozlovski again I guess.
 
Men LP recap
Disclaimer. I watched this really late last night so top 3 are a bit blury in my head.

Brown - Love the change of music tone in the end. That's all.
Aymoz - He just feels it.. Favorite male program so far. Too bad the field was tough but at least he moved up and got WS points.
Sadovsky - :blah::blah:
Nguyen - If only he had the same energy of his post program reactions through the program itself.
Tomono - Huge potential but this was a mess.
Kerry -Only memorable thing was Amodio teaching him how to be a poser on the K&C.
Majorov - Why does he keep picking music he does not have the charisma for. Watching him do Cuban Pete was embarassing.
Samarin - speaking of guys doing music beyond their interpretation range. :yikes:
Samohin - This reminds me of watching old Bowman programs. You see there's tons of talent but hardly any hard training behind.
Cha - First KOR male medal!!! Will they now host a GP please.
Uno - Love him but a bit safe.
Messing - Oh canada, stop trying to make Keegan happen.

Totally agree. B/K brought the classic Russian aesthetic, MTM brought slutty rock perk and absolutely owned it, and J/C are freaking awesome. This is their style, they would suck if they tried to a classical program.

After the super depressing pairs at Skate America, these 3 really got me excited for pairs again this season. :kickass:
 
Skate Canada Dance recap

S&F- They are pretty but not sexy. This is a team that actually would benefit from the typical Monstreal style instead of trying to be edgy and failing miserably.
S&W - Sorry I cant with that awful adult contemporary crap. My ears start to bleed and I stop caring.
K&A - Balance lifts are tricky. Big risk for a team coming up the ranks. Everything fell akward after that. Feel bad for them but deservingly last.
G&P - That program and song is glorious... Precious!! That said, I still think some judges were threatened yesterday to assure they would climb up to bronze.
T&B - All I could think of is I need a bro on bro Buckland program.
L& LG - I love how they have improved their projection. Good work.
W&L - Also much improved and the height difference does not bother anymore.
H&D - Much much better than at SA. A good wake up call for them losing the FD though.
S&D - Blah, after an amazing tango they give us this vanilla crap???
S&K - That was gorgeous, maybe a bit forced on the final dramatic movement but still gorgeous. Puppy and leg girl must be feeling the fear now.

Panenkova - Is this that Lara chick I read so many gushings about in here? I HATE her. Not as much as seeing Dasha in such a poor shape though.
Matsuda - To think she has a 2nd event and Hongo does not.
Chartrand - CAN ladies - from world title to this....
Pineault - blank space
Medvedeva - I respect her fighting spirit but the damage is already done. No longer 1st tier.
Tursy - Too introvert for tango.
Andrews - Welcome to the jungle girl, you are the gazelle not the lion.
Bell - Surprisingly good.
Higuchi - :wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed not even the most beautiful warhorse music is bad choreo proof.
La Tuk -A Liza by the numbers program and wish she could wear anything she wears daily on her instagram instead of this but for now she should enjoy every moment of this victory.
Yamashita - :eek: JPN nationals is going to be the most interesting hunger games this seaon. MAGNIFICAT! :encore:
