after you saw her, what did you think?
I was disappointed with the FS. With the program itself (I won't even start with the content). I liked the SP, as it was somethign different for her, the FS is empty and boring. Sorry.
Either way, slay Perkova!

Pretty much same here. Interesting SP, and not very interesting FS + poor execution and low level tech content.

How do you feel about Sakhanovich? I felt it wasn’t a complete disaster, but somehow I liked her more last season, when she skated under Pluschenko. She used to have very light skating style. Then she went through puberty and it completely affected even her basics and her transitions; suddenly she skated heavy (as if it was too hard job to even get from one element to the next). Under Pluschenko she became again light and now she still has the jumps, but in between elements it is not in my view as light and effortless as it was last season. Or maybe it is because it is only beginning of the season and she is not quite ready yet?

LOVED Gubanova's SP, that program was a rare portrait of musicality and engaging in the rhythm of the program (something not that easy with a 1/5 beat)! She had already completely pulled me in within the first 30 seconds thanks to the footwork and beginning spin! In the actual step sequence I was kinda 50/50 whether there was almost too much wild abandon but still it was something so different. Hopefully with minor changes they can up the level but keep the feeling.

I would change the hair though. :shuffle: And I miss the dark green beauty of a dress from last year.

Is she injured?
Why should she be injured? it is possible that she withdrew because she needs to travel to Slovakia. I can’t see why she should do one day a competition in Russia, get home, pack her luggage, get to the airport, fly and the following day already compete is Slovakia. That would be a bit rushed.

Sakhanovich does not have the resources to train on the same level as other elite girls. So it is hard to say what happens with her and quality of her skating.

Wow- joining in praise for SinKats Tango. I barely recognize Sinitsina in it-in the best way; she looks both crisp and fierce.
