I still havent watched any videos of Anna Rechniio despite her being mentioned so effusively in this thread but i never feel like in the mood to watch some C-list ladies skating from the 90s.

I would like to be more familiar with c-list ladies from the 90s. Any recommendations?

Aliev raps a song as a Happy Birthday to Glinka, with the rest of Rukavitsin's group as backup singers. Words are written for the occasion.

Omg. Video of the month! THANK YOU! So adorable. Why can't I find a guy to write rap songs about me? :drama:

And I love Glinka more and more each season. She is gorgeous and seems like such a genuinely nice person. :glamor: I'm so happy she and Rukavitsin have a competitive skater.

I wish i could help but I wasnt a fan back then but from what i've seen i would recommend Vanessa Gusmeroli , Olga Markova, Cristina Czako and Tatiana Malinina.

I'd be more than happy to help. :) Here are a few random favorites:

Diana Poth: 4th at Euros once, loved slutty dresses, sold the hell out of the slutty programs too.
Yulia Vorobieva: Epic country program in 1996, great spins, cheated all her jumps after 97
Amber Corwin gay icon, bad jump teknik, stuck around forever
Joanne Carter: Always attacked her programs, amazing speed, did a 3loop-3loop once
Marina Kielmann: She's more B+ list than C list, former rollerskating champion, different hair every year, and amazing taste in music.
Mojca Kopac: Generally badass, voidy programs, good K&C bitchface
Evelyn Grossman for this outfit alone :respec: and here's another example of German ladies' exemplerary style

Vanessa Gusmeroli , Olga Markova, Cristina Czako and Tatiana Malinina.

Awesome skaters but definitely more A list than C list, in my book. ;)

In my book I think the 90s is something more like this:

A+: Kwan
A: Other champions or multiple medallists (Yamaguchi, Bonaly, Kerrigan, Slustkaya, Butyrskaya, Chen)
A- : One hit wonders in the oly/world podium (Bobek, Szweczenko)
B+ : Bubling under the oly/wold podium, usually placing in the top 10 but never quite achieved glory (Markova, Liashenko)
B: Euro medallists but often outside top 10 worlds (Lavrenchuk, Czako)
B- : The trainwrecks of that era: (Hubert)

The poses, the beauty! :glamor: Come back strong next season and show the sonograms how to land jumps with legs as long as pictured above (they don't have them!).

Couple more:

Pavlov switched to pairs?? What is he thinking?? He's too small/skinny and it's not like Paniot is that much of a competition for him.. Who's the unlucky girl?

I mean, he's gone 23rd-25th-29th at the last 3 Worlds. :scream: Even Wock Jabber could better those results! Why not give pairs a shot? Maybe he'll show up really thick next season? :grope:

But the fact is he still went to 3 consecutive senior worlds in singles and he could keep going but with a 13 yo he wont be elegible until 2020-2021 season and the chances of making the LP in pairs are much smaller , specially these days with such a deep field. I guess he's thinking long term but I would have advised him to make the switch at least until the next oly cycle.

Yes and their LP is a story about 2 young lovers on top of that :scream: x infinity.

Im not complaining about the age gap for prude reasons (tons and tons of young couples have that age gap or bigger) but becasue how very limited potential the partnering has.
