Interesting tidbit:

The USFS at Champs Camp suggested that Bradie change her Cinderella LP. She and her coach decided to keep it.

It's interesting to note how divided in opinion Benoit Richaud's programs for the women have been this season.

With Tennell and Kaori Sakamoto already qualified for Olympics and Ivett Toth and Mae-Berenice Meite potentially qualifying after Europeans later this month, Richaud could have up to 4 women represented in Pyeongchang.

ETA: Richaud is also represented in the men's event in Pyeongchang with Chafik Beseghier and Michal Brezina.

I am happy to see Tennell made her own decision rather than blindly following the will of the federation. IMO, it’s a good sign for the future.

However, the more I see Richaud’s choreography, the more I dislike it. I hope to see less of it next season.

On a sidenote, I cannot help feel for all the other top ladies that have surely also worked extremely hard on this journey towards the Olympic Games. I hope they take Mirai as an example that despite a long and sometimes rocky road, they can reach their goals at a later stage in their careers.

Thank you ladies for all the joy, drama and beautiful programs that we skatingfans have witnessed over the last olympic cycle.

I just can't see Ashley going to 4CC. First alternate better get ready. Interesting that Starr was assigned to both 4CC and Junior Worlds. Good for her.

I am thrilled for Mirai. She looked really fit and skated like an Olympian which I kind of felt was missing 4 years ago. It was probably the best thing for her to not have made the team in 2014. I really wish she had won the competition. I hope somehow, she pulls off a medal.

Really gutted for Ashley. It is a shame how she was dumped. Could have gone either way between her and Karen and I feel the edge should have gone to her. She has done so much for the US ladies since 2012. I doubt she will go to 4CC's.

Bradie is just so boring to watch.

I don't think Ashley has been dumped. She hasn't delivered this season. I know Karen hasn't either but I don't think there's any way to justify giving it to Ashley. She made the team in 2014 based on her consistency. The Olympic Team shouldn't be given as a reward for a long, successful career. It should be earned.

She hasn't delivered this season but neither has Mirai nor Karen. Ashley laid it down last night and deserved higher PCS. The fact that she lost on PCS to Karen (let alone Bradie) says so much about where USFSA is at and what their agenda is. The only US lady who can compete on an international level at this point on PCS alone is Ashley (especially with Gracie taking time off as well), and she was completely robbed in both the SP and LP on the second mark.

I know this isn't an important part of BOW [but should be], however Bradie and Mirai had the highest scores in front of international judging panels this season on the GP circuit and both finished 1-2 here. Mariah was no. 3 with a 188 at RC.

I honestly feel like if anyone got hosed here it was Mariah. She fell on a rotated 2A [I know, dumb move] but Karen got a DG and various UR problems, and Ashley popped a jump, then UR'd / 2-footed the 3Z which is more egregious in TES. I know that doesn't matter because Mariah beat them both in TES, so you have to consider PCS: Mariah skates with speed and power just like Karen [I can't compare one against the other but both are fast], but for me, Mariah's movements are cleaner and better defined. Ashley 'performs' better than anyone else and that is part of PCS, but Mariah shines and sparkles when she is on and is faster and more sure-footed, so in this sense, IDK how to break it down in PCS between the 3 - maybe it's a wash when you consider the different categories of PCS. So, Mariah beats them both on TES and should've been 3rd.

ETA - I glanced at the PCS: Karen - 69, Ashley - 68, Mariah - 62. Isn't that gap a little much?

Any idea when the Olympic team will be announced? I really hope they don't leave Karen hanging until Sunday and have already told her if she is in or out. Which by the way should be in.

It’s already been named. Bradie, Mirai and Karen.

Good. I'm sorry for Ashley but she does this to herself way to much having to fight from behind and it's not working anymore. If she wanted to be on the team she needed to stop screwing up and burying herself in the SP at Olympic Nationals.

I love when folks that say "I"m sorry for someone then immediately say "you brought it on yourself". We all know you're really not sorry.

USFSA need to steal a lady from Russia. It's just amazing that even ladies outside top 10 at Russian nationals landed 6-7 triples.
