SkAm Day 3 boss recap:
Dance
BabyItalians: Da Bob is out :drama: I knew it would my heart the one way or the other. I am still finding to fin dout the concept that leaves me satisfied at the end of the season. I think it's Bob bronze at olympics and C/L golden farwell in Milano. Yes, that's the way it has to be. :drama: If they bid farwell with this, their best ever, program I will be so :wuzrobbed
Nikita - When I hear this music, gimme Mao!
Z/G - That FD ain't gonna work. Fight for nationals pewter guys!!!
CHN: I love the first part of the FD, am I mental?

Ladies:
Miyahara: So happy for her; she has really grown into a woman this last 2 years. I don't kniw which JAP lady I want in Korea. I am no Higuchi fan but hell she delivered, I love Mao, Mihara and Sakamoto :drama: If, if Med withdrawsa from GP, Miyahara would be in, which would give her a big boost towards nationals. So both her and Higuchi just need a podium finish to make it to Korea, as long as no one other wins gold, if japanese fed is sticking to their rules. So the only chance of the rest is winning gold or kicken on of the 2 off the podium.
Sakamoto: Tursy-POTS-shortlist :encore:So so good. I have no words. Love the costume, loved the skate, love her joy.
Tennell: Surprise surprise, da boss says: :blah::blah::blah: gimme Wagner, Nagasu, Zhang, Wang, Bell, Glenn, Hicks, Hong, whoever ist out there, any minute!
Polina: the curse of the name :encore:
Sima: the FS is so so bad. I have no words, but I am happy for her. Did she and Mikhailova bring drama and pressure to russian fed by having liekly secured a GP spot by themselves?!? :watch:
Gabby: Dear Gabby, I made peace with the wonderwoman outfit instead of the burnt shreds, but now get the proper music and throw this shity piano outta your window!
Perkova: Judges :mitchell:

TM2 resurfaces (see Anastasia Skoptsova’s Instagram story).

Btw, that Smolkin guy she is skating with has an interesting background. He had quit skating for two years because he got into a football academy but then went back to skating. His dad is a well known (and very short) actor, Boris Smolkin.

Polina - so much to love :swoon: I couldn't stand her in the beginning, such a turn around usually does not happen for me! Stunning program! Loved it!
My thoughts exactly :40beers:
I prefered Sotskova to Polina in juniors in 2015/16 season (Maria always had unique programs before and was so much more interesting than she is now :fragile: ), I started enjlying her skating last season and she easily became one of my favourites this year :swoon:

Sima represents #TTW well just because we want her to suceed. We know how hard that is in Russia. She earned a trip to nationals. Small sreps, i say give she and plushy a chance to see what they can do.

We knew russian nationals was going to be a blood sport for ladies. Who expected it to be for the orher disciplines? Men fighting, 3rd spot in pairs, and now Sin/Kat fighting as well.

So how far down the rankings is :cat:to get to the hunger games?

Excactly! Her LP isn't all that, but she finally back on track and Plushy seems to be doing something right, they seem to have fun together. I can't wait to see what next season brings.

More random from yesterday.

Plushy's coat is:respec: Keep bringing it Mullet Man!!

Sakamoto's Knc was epic! As someone wrote in the PBP thread - she was overjoyed, her coach tried to calm her down, but she was having none of it. You go girl! Tursy-POTS for sure. Her basics is the best in business, and she so damn adorable, love her!

Daleman's level 8 make up couldn't help her. And her ending pose is beyond weird, it's like she stops, waiting for the music has has no real ending, and then just sits down. Don't underestimate the power of cobra boobs. Hard to replace.

As the huge Miyahara fan I am, that caller was very nice on her. Loop was under, lutz was under, maybe more of them, but what a gorgeous, olympic program. She does looks regal! Tiny queen for sure. I'm totally torn on who I want to come with her to Korea.

BUT

What's with the pineapples? I had no idea so many stuffed pineapples excited....

Perkova's interview after SA:
Honestly speaking, I know the best thing I can do in my life is to skate and bring joy to the audience. And I'm enjoying skating right now. I love to feel people's support, their ovation. It is important for me to feel that I am not forgotten, and it motivates me.

Based on Japanese criteria, Sakamoto has to win nationals to get the nod. So does Miahara. If either Higuchi or Miyahara win, the other goes. I don't know if that will encourage or discourage everybody else. But, just like in Russia 2014, the ladies didn't earn the 3rd spot and had to deal with it. Also, like Russia post 2014, they will take that 3rd spot back and should keep it for a good long while. Higuchi got lucky when Polina failed to get the spot. Going to the GPF made her job a lot easier. She won't need a lucky break to go forward.

Will Voronov hit the lucky jackpot more than twice? If he does, I'm calling him and asking him to pick lottery numbers for me.

Perkova's interview after SA:
Why doesn't she just do shows? I'm not saying she should quit competing. If she wants to, more power to her, but she does bring joy with her skating and I'd think it would do more so when she could just let go and shine. Europe and Japan seem to love her. She really does puzzle me.

No you're not. Who would have thought that despite your taste in ladies you have good ice dance taste :D. This was my favourite FD of the event. Even though the place were right and the judgment too, IMO. Sorry for da bob.

(Somehow I don't think teasing the bossman is the right way to prepare nominations for the team, but this was just too tempting :biggrinbo)

Quite frankly I like S/K too. Even if the edges of Stepanova Sinitsina are dull, they do have a lot of power and speed, with killer lift. When Nikita doesn't splat of course.

Yeah, no kidding! Luv it! :biggrinbo Stay safe and don't bet the farm! :bribe: Anything could happen. :COP:
