I hope she develops the performance and interpretation of her Marilyn Monroe FS. It could be every bit as memorable as last season's Grease FS.

Most of us really like Lacavelier, but liked last year's FS better. I think she's a lovely soft skater. I've got a soft spot for MBM, but she's just not consistent with her jumps. If I were the French Fed, I'd go with Lacavelier for Korea. Sorry, MBM.

I also have a soft spot for MBM, because Beyonce, and because she is one of my biggest fans on Instagram.

What's the TTW thoughts on Lecavelier? I thought her SP at Skate Canada was lovely. There was a skating coach sitting behind me (local coach, not anyone elite) who couldn't stop talking about how surprised she was by her. The FS was ridiculous, but fun.

Laurine is lovely and inconsistent.

COC is going to be interesting. I was certain Zagitova had the win in the bag, but IF LaTuk does a clean 3A in both programs, that bag just developed a lot of holes. There is a small chance of a Russian sweep, but Japan can certainly be a spoiler if Rad isn't clean as a whistle.

Right before you posted it I thought that LaTuk has a chance to medal, but right now....
I think, it'd be Zagitova-Higuchi-Mihara and with LaTuk in forth and Radio/Marin in 5/6

But I'm super happy that LaTuk at least started working on her 3A, she still has almost 2 months before Nationals and she'll definitely need it to beat Sotskova/ Radionova /Tsurskaya at Nationals

As mentioned before, the safest spot to get to Olympics (if you're not Med) is coming in 4th at nationals.
One will falter at Europeans, losing the medal to Kostner and bam, the pewter medal winner is in Korea.
These are good news. No need for medal for Perkova at all! Slay girl!

While I think you are totally delusional, if that were to happen, after I because Rad, Pogo or Tuk didn't make the team, I'll and cheer her on.

I think, Zagitova's spot is as safe as Med's.
And I even like her for some unknown reason If Russian team is Med, Zagitova and Sotskova, I'll root for Alina, hands down

Nikita is no heartbreak for anyone to date. Don‘t let you be fooled by the glorious past. Nothing to date is special nor heartbreaking.

Same for Ilinykh. Teaming up with former #ttw member and former partner of #ttw legend TM2 increases her chances though.

I guess they both have to wait for HoF voting some day.
And I totally expect them to even fail there and being passed by Leonova last second

I’m right there with you, I still have PTSD from Pogorilaya’s LP. I think La Tukt is our best shot to make the team. I’m excited she’s going to attempt the 3axel! Wasn’t sure that was going to happen again!

They are both such trainwrecks: all the talent in the world, both are gorgeous, so much early promise in their early careers, but both of their respective careers this quad have been a disaster, they really fit so much of the criteria of what we do here.

BUT

The big problem I have with putting them on the team is that, for me, they are both extremely unlikable. Elena seems flaky and lazy. Nikita is an ass, self-centered, and seems like a terrible partner. They have both thrown away so much of their talent.

When I look at every member of #TeamTrainwreck, past and present, they all are extremely likeable personalities, maybe over-the-top and dramatic in some cases, but you want to cheer for every single one to succeed and overcome the odds. They all have endearing qualities.

And what they might lack in natural talent, they more than make up for in terms of hard work, personality, and character.

To me, Ilynkh and Kataspaolv just don’t fit in. It’s nothing personal, I love some of their work (GHOST!!!!), but it doesn’t work for me here.

That’s just my take on it, so I agree with @Jeschke here. Your mileage may vary.
