I dunno. I actually would be able to recognize pictures without names attached for three of the contestants, which is more than I could say for most seasons. Another three I know by name but not by face.

I think we could be losing one or two of the football players pretty quickly -- that vote could divide up pretty well.

I wonder how he will compare to the other football players; since he is older and shorter than they are.

My only concern would be lingering effects of injuries that may not show up until he trains the jive, tango or paso. If he lets his natural, self deprecating, personality come through, he should get some votes.

Took me forever to find Wayne Morris, who is apparently Wanya Morris...from Boys II Men. Wayne Morris died in 1959. I was thoroughly confused.

None of these people are "A" (or even "B" ) listers, but I find them a more interesting mix than most of the recent seasons (which isn't saying a lot).

I'm most amused by Mischa Barton because I've been watching The O.C. reruns on PopTV and had recently looked her up on imdb to see what had happened to her. Her list of movie credits since the show is less than stellar.

Marla Maples is a "star"? Has she ever done anything other than be married to Donald Trump? I don't know any of the football players except Doug Flutie, I've never heard of Paige or Nyle. I think Kim Field is the only one on the list I would recognize on the street.

Yes, you're right. Here's her bio/filmography from imdb. The list is actually longer than I would have guessed, but I think I may have heard of just two or three of those films/series.
