DWTS Season 22 3-21-2016

Wow. 3 great freestyles. I'm rooting for Paige, she and Mark were awesome, but Nyle and Peta had the best freestyle, IMO. I believe it was the same "Sound of Silence" that Adam, Jeremy, and Ryan skated to in SOI. Ginger and Val's number was cute but felt kind of anticlimactic. Maybe i'm being too harsh, I know there are other forms of dance besides contemporary but it just didn't come across as a 'big' performance.

Yes, it was the same version by "Disturbed" I really hope Nyle wins, and I love that freestyle.

So that result was kind of what I expected, especially after the top 2 both had 30 on their dances tonight (I actually thought Nyle performed better than Paige tonight, though she had better choreography). I was kind of disappointed Ginger messed up, but glad she wasn't top 2.

Congratulations to the champions!!! And happy 30th to Mark.

The game show bit was funny, lol! The girls really are good sports.

Not sure what Maks & Val will do in a show that they couldn't do with the troupe. And Tom with his hot air comment.

As expected. A pretty good finale! Nice to see Kenny Maine back. Hated Erin's dress and it was so close to being good: I kept redesigning it while watching. Good to see so much of Wanya although I'm still a little snarked that he wasn't in the final. And did anyone see Mischa B.? Was she even there?

Next season I'd like to see just the pros competing with one another.

Mischa was there. She was in the intro (just waved at the camera while all other 'stars' danced a bit), was in the whole group number, and was standing on stage at the end too.

Loved Sasha back in the crab costume. I really hope he gets a pro next year. IIRC, it's been said that one of the reasons he hasn't gotten a star is because he's short. But he's actually about the same height as Mark, so that's BS. He's (IMO) more deserving of a partner than Keo or Artem.

Noticed that. You know I just flip back and forth to The Voice - wasn't it very similar to what one of the female contestants was wearing Monday night? Looks like a boring black bathing suit with a floor length lace cover-up. Would be better on a dark stage or with darker lace. The girl on the Voice must have been wearing really high heels because her legs looked 5 feet long (but then way out of proportion to the body).

And you know me and my picky "error finding" everywhere. Twice Tom said they were separated by three points. Uh, no, 59, 58 and 57 are only two points apart technically. 59-57=2. There just happened to be three different scores. I don't know why my brain picks up ridiculous stuff like that, then hears it again. And I don't even know how I would say it differently - separated by one point each? I DO give myself a headache!!!!

I was just watching Inside Edition and they said that Peta has two reasons to celebrate 1) winning the Mirrorball trophy and 2) she's pregnant with Maks baby

Apparently Erin accidentally announced the news. Went to congratulate Maks backstage but her mic was on. I didn't notice, though. According to TMZ, Peta and Maks are pissed, because there were still some family and friends they hadn't told. (Plus, the cynic in me thinks they're probably upset because they can't sell the news to US or People or something like that...) Wonder if they'll have twins and call them Boris and Oleg...

Is this the "official-official" announcement from the parents to be after Erin spilled the beans a month ago or did they confirm it earlier? Whatever the case, congrats to them.

Sorry, and I just realized that it was discussed upthread too. I just dug the thread up and posted the link. oops! Anyway, things seem to be progressing nicely.

Since the beans were spilled before, the most interesting thing about them that I've read today is that they've kind of announced their wedding date (summer 2017). Peta said they were hoping to have kids soon after getting married, but the timing here works perfectly, because she'll give birth in January and have 6 months to get into shape.

Also, Niall figured it out and texted her 'I know" one day. Apparently she was really sick and falling asleep all the time.
