U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

Just caught the final group of novice women from PAC Sectionals on YouTube. I am loving Rachel Samari. She is such a unique stylist already. And her spins are eye popping….including some of the positions she gets in, as well as the continuous speed. She caught my eye on the Junior Grand Prix this fall for sure. She needs some jump technique help…and I hope USFS high performance will focus on making sure she gets it. She looks like a competitor too…she was clearly not happy with her skate in the K&C, even though it was first place.😅

Do we have a thread talking about sectionals….i couldn’t find it?

It’s in the Kiss and Cry subforum.

Do Rachel Samiri and Candice Leung get to go to US Nationals as Juniors, due to the top 2 Novice in each section skate-up to Junior?

But it also shows how close the three women are: who goes to Milan as national champ will come down to who’s best on that day at Nats. They’re really a talented crew and so different from each other, it’s a pleasure to watch them.
Isabeau underrotated 3 jumps and lost @10 points. Had she jumped cleanly, she would have finished just barely ahead of Chiba.
