Joseph Klein could be one young skater to watch.

So I checked Youtube to find out more, since I'm not familiar with Joseph:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oZcQf05OGg

Joseph appears to have some very nice qualities, including good flow with the music. He competed in Novice Men at 2019 U.S. Nationals. It's very unpredictable regarding how far young skaters will go. A lot factors into whether he will continue to progress and to maintain the necessary interest/ passion for fs competition.

Thanks for finding the link to Misha Ge's IG post back in March, @RoseRed (Pierre Porte is the composer of Joonsoo Kim's FS to "Nuages en montagne").

Sean Rabbitt shared this photo from USFS' inaugural Excel Festival in Coral Springs, Florida this past weekend where he, Camden Pulkinen and Karen Chen assisted the participating skaters on the ice: https://www.instagram.com/p/BybRgC5lEf0/
Fan photos with all 3: https://www.instagram.com/p/ByfV_huDTP3/
Group photo: https://www.instagram.com/p/BybRylQpq_n/

Replying here (originally posted in the U.S. Club Competitions thread in Kiss & Cry):
Daniel Argueta skated to La Strada in the free. He included all triples in his free, including a 3A, a lutz and 2 flips. I guess the jump bonus was an incentive; I wonder if USFSA was telling folks to get the axel to be considered for the jgp? He is still working on the harder jumps, but again, I like his program.
Argueta turned 19 this past April so he's too old for the JGP, unfortunately.

I think the 3A likely is being encouraged for the men being considered for the JGP, but I assume other criteria will factor in as well. There are currently 14 JGP age-eligible men listed in USFS' initial ISP (with 15 JGP slots available this season):

Final season of ISU Junior eligibility in 2019-20:
Andrew Torgashev
Ryan Dunk J1
Dinh Tran J2
Peter Liu J4

Joseph Kang J6 (age 15; attempted 3A in his JGP debut last year)
Eric Sjoberg J10 (age 17; last competed on JGP in 2017)

Has yet to debut on JGP:

Lucas Altieri J5 (age 17)
Max Lake J8 (age 17; landed two 3A in his Nationals FS)
William Annis N1 (age 14; landed 3A cleanly in both SP & FS at Nationals and a clean 3A in his Adv. Novice FS at Bavarian Open where he won silver)
Matthew Nielsen N2 (age 16)
Ilia Malinin N3 (age 14)
Joseph Klein N4 (age 14)
Liam Kapeikis N5 (will be 15 in June) - skated a Jr. SP in Victoria, BC last month: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...ring-summer-competitions.105558/#post-5587572
Eric Prober N6 (age 16; attempted 3A at Nationals, landed one cleanly in his Novice SP at Eastern Sectionals)

The top 4 short programs of the Novice men at 2019 Nationals are well worth (re)watching: https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/watch/?Archive=415 (30 second ad plays at beginning)
Ilia Malinin skated #5 and his SP starts at the 1 hour 20 minute mark; then right before 1:40 are #8 to 10: Joseph Klein (received highest PCS), Matthew Nielsen and William Annis.

MJM Skating's IG post yesterday: https://www.instagram.com/p/ByfUzr7H2LX/
When @kevinshum met @brianboitano he was just a little boy who liked to skate! Since then he has competed at Nationals 8 times, was a 2x collegiate champion, recently graduated from MIT, and will now begin his career along side some of the most innovative thinkers @microsoft. Where Kevin goes success has always followed and we couldn’t be more proud of him! Today he makes the move to Seattle to begin a new chapter and we wish him nothing but the best! MJM won’t be the same without him and the world of technology won’t be the same once he arrives! Congratulations Kevin💙💪🏻!

Cross-posting Camden Pulkinen's program music here:
SP: Caruso by Josh Groban choreographed by Josh Farris
FP: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence [OST] / Rain by Ryuichi Sakamoto choreographed by Stéphane Lambiel
From his IG post: https://www.instagram.com/p/Byn7vtPJRMJ/

Nathan skated in Colorado Springs yesterday and Vincent was there too ( at his wry reply): https://twitter.com/WAIHSkating/status/1138508005396193280

Andrew Torgashev talked a bit about being his own choreographer in this Fan Zone article (I've also posted excerpts about the other skaters mentioned in various relevant threads): https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...-and-creative-choreography-in-off-season.aspx
Excerpt:
"I decided that I wanted to choreograph my own programs so that I could push my limits and come up with something unique and beautiful," Torgashev says. "I've been messing around with new movements and elements that would wow the audience. There is so much thought and heart that goes into choreography, the off-season is the perfect time for this. This is probably the only time in your career that you can experiment and create something that no one else ever has. I can't wait to show off my new creations."

Re posting from Jason Brown's fan thread:
Jason and Rohene together at a rink in Oakland, CA (presumably to work on SP choreo + new exhibition programs). Hopefully, we'll know what the music is for the SP in the next few days.
Coach Michelle Hong (who shared the Jason/Rohene photo on her IG this past Monday) was a Pacific Coast Sectional singles competitor through the Senior level and led the UC-Berkeley collegiate (Cal) figure skating team until her graduation. She shared her IGTV video conversation back in May titled "Sean Rabbitt On Overcoming Obstacles": https://www.instagram.com/p/BxQUgQYFSDz/

Coach Michelle filmed a conversation with Jason while he was in Oakland and should be sharing something in the near future.

^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aGjv8F0EW8 :wuzrobbed D10's Caruso

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k2XaEW8X4I Also an amazing fp that year by D10 at 4CCs :encore:

This fp was creative and original by Denis. I like his exploration of Asian-themed music for a program rather than adhering so strictly to western music genres. I believe this program influenced Hanyu's creation of Seimei.

That's a sweet tribute to Denis by Camden. I wish Camden good luck with his choices for the new season:

For Camden's fp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1cQBP0Vzx8 same music with full orchestra; breathtaking!

^^ I thought Pfund/Santillan or maybe it was Timlen/Highgate-Brutman who had announced this song by Kaleo, as one of their music choices. However, there's no longer any indication on the programs spreadsheet. I wonder why? Change of plans, I suppose.

It’s Lockley/Prochnow who are also using this song.
