Anyone watching? I have never watched the Bachelor or Bachelorette before (and I don't usually watch TV anyway) but the latter's season premiere happened to be on TV where I am right now. :watch:

The editing certainly skews viewer perceptions, but Bryan, Jack Stone, and Josiah are coming across very well and are making the strongest overall impressions for me. :swoon:

For Rachel, the Bachelorette, it may help (or not) that the latter two are attorneys like she is. :judge:

DeMario comes across as way too cocky, but I wouldn't mind some :grope: with him, or with Alex. :saint:

Rachel deserved better guys! There are a few good ones but I'm skeptical about the majority of them. Also, Blake K the veteran should have gotten a rose over Whaboom! guy. 100% a producer plant and I'm mad about it. And the other Blake who came in with the marching band; I loved that until I saw who it was. His intro just made him look like a creep.

Don't know what I think about Bryan; they clearly connected but I thought he was a bit too aggressive for the first night. I like Peter, Josiah and Dean best so far.

For a few of the guys, I was like, if she got to see their intro, no way would they get a rose (Blake E.). Peter and Bryan seemed solid, Kenny seemed sweet with his daughter, the whole thing with Fred was funny in a good way... Hopefully she finds someone good. I think I liked Josiah too. I don't like Jamey because in his bio he said his ideal mate looks like a model and he has no female friends, which is a red flag.

There's been some chatter that Blake K, the ex marine wasn't given a rose due to a family emergency that came up during the filming of the first night but it wasn't edited that way. He got tons of love on social media last night so maybe he'll be brought back for Paradise or Winter Bachelor games, if he's interested.

Lucas' whaboom backed fired on him as I think he thought it would be a catchy phrase and it just came off as one of the worst things EVER.

Don't have any favorite as the hoard of guys last night was too hard to keep track of. I guess if I have to pick one it would be the fireman, who's name I'm blanking on. Josiah was a bit too pushy for my tastes and Dean is too young.

Is this a new season? I did not see it on t.v.?

Yes this is the new season of the Bachelorette. It started an hour late last night due to DWTS but from now on, will be on from 8-10pm EST every Monday night till early August.

TV Guide ran an article on Blake K and the love he received on twitter last night:

Night 1 people usually don't get asked to Paradise but hopefully he's going to Mexico next week when filming begins. If not, there is always the new "Winter Bachelor Games" coming in February.

Tonight's pearl of wisdom:
"You can sink with the fishes, or you can swim to shore."
 I love this show.

Peter is the best contestant on this show since Chris Lambton.

As for DeMario, guess he never thought he'd be trotted out LIVE on After the Final Rose and didn't make the necessary plans to break things off with his girl. That Basketball date was about a week after that, plenty of time for Lexi (I think that's her name) to call production and get her revenge. It was actually pretty good plot line as before this, we've never seen the jilted girls before.

And who knew that Ashton and Mila are such fans!?! I knew Jennifer Anniston is--she has watching parties--but this was the first I've heard that Mr. & Mrs. Kutcher watched religiously too.

Mila & Ashton - cute couple. Love how they were checking if the guys had medical insurance and a job. And one guy said - that is setting the bar pretty low - and Mila responds - have you watched the show? LOL
First group date - can't stand how much what ever his name is talks about Whaboom. Don't like either.
Second group date - nicer group of guys.
Kareem - looking good for 70 - seems so nice.

I would have picked Blake K. and also Milton and Rob over Blake E., Whaboom, or Lee. Just based on looks alone, never mind that they seem to be the controversial ones. Producers picks.

Peter is :swoon:

Yes to Blake K., no to Milton. In his bio he outright said he just wanted to become an actor and was hoping to get discovered on the show.

But he was nicer to look at than Whabooom, who was there for basically the same reason except acting is actually a skill.

I've done a 180 on ole Peter and now find him to be well, boring. And I'm wondering if the whole "I haven't thought about sex with Rachel" answer was him just not being interested in Rachel??!?. Something seems off about him that I didn't see on last week's date.

That said, they all are there to promote their businesses and get on TeeVee so no big deal that he's there to promote himself so I won't hold that against him.

Slim pickings on having a favorite so if I have to pick one, I guess it will be Alex, just cause of the rubik's cube. I will just totally forget about that other problem he has coughpeeinginthepoolcough.

And THANK GOD Eric, Will, Anthony, Josiah, Kenny, etc have no idea at this point about Lee's extreme racist tweets as if they did know, I think the situation would have been 1,000 time worst and I don't want that for Rachel. As it is, Eric totally has Lee pegged for being racist. Good sniffing out of that, Eric.

Oh, just a reminder that next week, June 12th, is a repeat if there is NO basketball. Next new episode is on June 19th.

That Waboom guy was really odd. Who in the world would list their vocation as Waboom (I guess Waboom).

I was in shock he got even one rose.

Just a reminder this is no episode tonight due to Basketball.

And Warner Brothers has pulled the plug on filming of Bachelor in Paradise after just a few days due to "misconduct" allegations. Basically Corinne and DeMario were drunk in the pool doing stuff that they shouldn't have been doing on camera and there's now serious allegations about consent:

What ABC is going to do for six weeks in August/September when the show was suppose to air, I have no idea. I guess run reruns of other shows.

Much as I want to begin with a viewpoint that drunkeness does not equal consent, it does sound to me like the producers did everything they could to encourage this - asking that they play out a hookup storyline, providing a wide open bar with apparently no thought of cutting people off when they've had too much because it makes good tv, and then a camera crew following them and apparently making no effort to stop or report it as they caught all the action. Sounds to me like it's only when the producers realized they'd pretty much staged and shot a pornographic scene that they had second thoughts and started covering their asses.

It will be interesting to see where this goes in the coming days, and what effect it might have on how these shows are produced.

The same producers are suppose to produce "Bachelor Winter Games" come January/February. My guess if ABC still wants that show, there will have to be a change in attitudes about the copious amounts of booze allowed on set. Or at least I hope so as what happened could have been avoided if both Corinne & DeMario had been cut off at a reasonable amount.

As for Bachelor in Paradise, I think its done for as a show.

There are so many accounts of what allegedly happened now making the rounds - more by the hour it seems - that I'm not sure if we'll ever know the truth, especially since everyone involved has one or more agendas at stake.

I was at the baseball game at Nationals Park last night when an ad went up on the jumbo screen for a Luke Pell concert there this month: http://m.mlb.com/nationals/tickets/info/bud-music/luke-pell He must be glad he didn't ditch his summer tour opportunity for BiP.

and this says Carly and Evan are still getting married at the Paradise location this weekend. I guess it was to be part of the show? I wonder if it is a fake wedding like Marcus and Lacey or a real wedding. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...ilence-hires-top-lawyer-i-am-a-victim-1013545

According to Reality Steve, Carly & Evan's wedding is real with a license. When it will air now, no idea
