GordeiPots made it to IG now too.
Listed Universiade ? as highest skating achievement :gallopin1 :respec:
Our gang just knows which are the really important events.

I miss him .

This new out of nowhere Mark guy is also nice.. Has it been defined yet which men are going to worlds (if it happens)

While Russia has circumstances in all four disciplines that perhaps warrant leaving one spot vacant pending the Final, in ladies, pairs and dance I feel like they could have filled a second berth without controversy. I don't see anybody who isn't assuming that Trusova, Boikova/Kozlovskii and Zahorski/Guerreiro will go.

Yeah, thats why Im curious about Men, the other disciplines are kinda obvious except 3rd lady spot.

In pairs it's clear they want to send Mishina/Galliamov, I would say, but pairs being what it is it remains to be seen whether they can give RusFed the justification to send them (though looking at how the judging at Channel One Cup went, they'd probably need big mistakes to not place ahead).

(((((vice)))))
(((((boss)))))
I didn't even know she was competing this weekend. :drama: I've struggled staying engaged this season. #badfan At least that SP score is encouraging!

They would be INSANE not to send send M/G.

Out of nowhere Mark is cute and tiny... Approved!!

We had an ice storm last night. My senior Poodle did a Pogosplat down the three outside steps this morning. I couldn't get down to her without risking the same and it took her a second or two to get to her feet. I felt bad for  We'll be using the basement door the rest of the day to let them out. :shuffle:

ETA: she's fine and I've figured out an alternative way for her to get outside. But the back yard is an ice rink with ice on top of snow and it's snowing again. Yea. My male nearly pogosplatted when he lifted his leg to pee. I may have  again. He was peeing on my grill and he deserved to splat. I may have to take my phone and film them to submit for the MESS award.

Original Belly-Murad (Kurbanov) and Lazukin are having a podcast together.
First 'guest': Stasia :glamor: :gallopin1

@Ka3sha we know you are tempted to listen ;) Bring us the details!

It somehow feels weird, that main competitors for the worlds team are missing from RCF.
There might be reasons, but this will make the decision even more :drama:
(seriously, what will happen, when P/K skate lights out at RCF? ? @rfisher )

Thoughts on RUS worlds team decision:

Men:
  • Kolyada (well, he deserves, of course I'd prefer others)
  • Aliev/Ignatov/Kondratyuk: 2nd spot should go to no one else imho (despite RCF results); Kondratyuk gets my sentimental vote and if he skates lights out again, he might deserve, but unlikely with no international reputation and potential early starting number. Ignatov might be 'safest' bet right now. High-scoring SP, known by judges, sex symbol :p I could not even blame fed going with Aliev (if he skates somehow decent); highest reputation/world ranking, safest bet for Olympic spots on the line.

Ladies:
  • Sher seems safe.
  • and then the drama begins. Trusova absent, LaTuk hit or miss and Kostornaia almost absent all season. This will get :watch: and :drama: and i just sit back and enjoy.
  • If Nugu would walk away with the spot I would die  Not that I am that delusional to think this might happen in any scenario.

Pairs:
  • T/M are in.
  • M/G seem in too, but: pewter at nationals.
  • 3rd spot between B/K who are absent and P/K. I just hope P/K deliver big time and will put RUS fed in a big dilemma.
  • P/R stand no chance but I hope the 3s<< fall will be there.

Dance:
  • Team is set.
  • I hope for more :drama: next season, not that I expect after this year.

Enjoy :watch: & :40beers:

With all silver medalists from Nationals being absent, I guess it's simpler and way more logical to assume that they are given their spots on the Worlds team ( about your dilemma in regards to Trusova and B/K ).

So now it's between Liza and Aliona in ladies and M/G and P/K in pairs - M/G have an advantage, of course, but they are really tend to screw up under pressure, at least on domestic level.

Daria needs to get her mad on and go full out for that spot.

Ladies: Trusova is going. No way they'd not send her. It's between Kostornaia and LaTuk and I really, really, really hope this isn't a repeat of the last time she had to do a skate off for the Worlds team. Come on Liza.

If Aliev skates Unlike Aliev he gets the spot.

La Tuk vs Kostornaya: go empress!!!

Pair 3rd spot... I love Mishina & Galiamov SP so there.
