Honestly I think if Debbie would not have put her on stage when she was so young maybe she would have let that voice shine in her lifetime. It was beautiful. But then again maybe Carrie would have wanted out of her mother's shadow whether Debbie put her on stage or kept her in the wings. I'm so glad, that when they died, they were close and the old wounds had healed. And I'm glad Carrie is so celebrated. She was a true original. I couldn't sleep the other night so I watched "Postcards from the Edge" and loved Carrie's screenplay from her book. And Meryl and Shirley were wonderful together too. Quality all of the way around on that film....
