In the KSU news, it was mentioned there is only one official Korean pair (i.e., Cho/Adrock) who will be sent to the Team Trophy. About ice dance, KSU will follow ISU World Standing Points ranking.
Same for singles, also taking into consideration who finished top 6 at Korean Nats.

But, for dance, it all but assures Lim/Quan of going since they're the highest ranked Korean dance team by a wide margin.

I was happy to find these 2 Yonhap articles in English following the return home of the TWO newly crowned World silver medaists! :)

Junhwan Cha:
I didn't think about medals or scores. I just wanted to execute things that I had practiced," Cha told reporters at Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul on Monday, with the silver medal around his neck. "And I was extremely satisfied because I was able to do just that. I was a bit surprised with how high my free skate score was. But more so than the score, I was just so happy to have done everything I'd worked on."
Asked where he'd most like to improve going forward, Cha said, "Everything."
"I'd like to get better technically, but at the same time, it's important to have quality execution of all technical elements," Cha said. "I don't want to push myself too hard and try to do too much. I want to do the best I can while staying within myself."

Haien Lee:
There were times when I had doubts about myself, but I learned at this competition that I can do so much on the ice," Lee told reporters at Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul after returning from the International Skating Union (ISU) World Figure Skating Championships.
"I feel rewarded for not giving up after a slow start to this season," the 17-year-old added.
With a personal-best total of 220.94 points, Lee became the first South Korean figure skater to win a world championship medal since Kim Yu-na won gold in 2013.
ETA link to Golden Skate’s chat with Haein - “Lee touches upon the season and her goals moving forward. She also talks about what style of music she'd like to skate to, her favorite hobbies, and more.”

I think Haien Lee should have won the World Championships and she would have won with fair scoring. Haein Lee's scores were deflated in tech, PCS and GOE compared to Kaori in both the SP and LP and Haein Lee performed cleaner routines by executing more triple jumps with higher base value in executed elements. While Kaori performed very well and had a bit more speed, I think Haein Lee had more beautiful grace, smoother fluidity, more erect posture and less overt pumping of the body to gain speed with more engaging musicality and more intricacy in her step sequences which to me were more attuned to the music and even in Japan she brought the crowd to their feet with a standing ovation. I would have Haein Lee winning in PCS especially in the long, but in any case I think there is no justification for Kaori receiving 5 points higher in PCS across the SP and LP (2-3 points higher in each program), especially since this is more than the difference in their final scores.

In terms of tech scores, Kaori's suspect lutz edge was ignored and she was given a high GOE of around +2 for it in both the SP and the LP. To my eyes, Kaori also had a hooked landing (ur) on a triple jump combo ignored in the long program. Even with what I believe are these beneficial calls, Kaori's base value in the LP based on executed elements was still a full 7 points lower than Haien Lee, and this doesn't consider the overly harsh q call and low GOE of -.1 on Haien's beautiful triple lutz / triple loop combo which further deflated Haein's score in addition to the obvious PCS deflation. This manipulation reduced Kaori's 7 points deficit in executed element in tech for the LP to only around 2 points for the overall score, which was an arranged change that was also more than the final difference in scores between Kaori and Haein Lee for the SP and LP.

I think further evidence of the scoring manipulation which was decisive in depriving Haein Lee of the World Championship is suggested by the decision to remove the most viewed Womens figure skating World Championship video on youtube along with the comments, which had the greatest criticism of the scoring with many commenters expressing their view that Haein Lee should have won the World Championship and these comments also had the most likes. Such obvious censorship and silencing of the free expression of opinion is like a silent confession of manipulation in my opinion.

I think Kaori rightly won. I was happy for Haein being the first woman since Yuna, but her skating skills and presence on ice still read generic, almost junior, to me. Kaori's jump technique apart from Lutz is also far superior, she goes into jumps with far more speed, the height and distance are far greater, the outflow is far and away the best in the world. She holds that 2A landing for nearly 5 seconds. Her spins are done with technical precision, even if I'm not a fan of the positions. I do agree though that the judging at worlds was a mess.

ETA: Congrats to the Korean senior team, but the medals were rather hollow to me with the skating they put up. Enjoyed Shin Jia much more, which shouldn't be happening given she's a junior.

What video are we talking about here? The World Championship events are still up on YouTube including the Women's Free Skate, and Haein Lee's Free Sakte.

Now that we have great South Korean and Japanese skaters, I'm dreading that we are going to have a replay of the Yuna Mao fan wars from years gone by. Can't we just appreciate all of the skaters? I guess this is what drives engagement, but I definitely don't enjoy all the conspiracy theories over aggressive behavior during practices and imagined snubs that will probably come along.

With Jia Vs. Mini Mao developing in juniors, it might make things even worse...

I don't think it will happen. A big chunk of Yunabotting happened because she was the very first figure skater from South Korea to win anything at all, hence the nationalist bent to the media promoting the rivalry between her and Mao (as right as it was to point out that Mao was part of an entire dynasty, and that her own fans were no less than Yuna's at the time). The Korean figure skating team being much larger than before already means the focus is much more split, nor do I see the same quality in any of them so far. I do think Jia/Mao Shimada can turn into it, but they're not even going to debut at the same Olympics, so...

Looks like I will have to get away from this brainwashed forum since the shielders for corrupt scoring for the coronated Kaori with no explanations needed to detailed criticism of the scoring have have come out in force here with not a single like for the post defending the obviously manipulated scoring, one even dared to call Haein Lee's skating juniorish on a Korean skating thread, but not at goldekskate where I received a number of likes and no dissenting opinions for my views but youtube is definitely the place where the most open minded views can be found, hence these videos must be removed. Not surprisingly, some of those most condescending comments towards Haein Lee and those likinng the comments are Yuna Kim devotees who are jealously guarding her inflated accolades and don't want to give credit to another great Korean skater (in my opinion a greater skater to take her place.) Please remember I just witnessed another 17 year old Korean become the victim of a paid for character assassination who I am fond of in music. The support for this view is huge and it was not censured by removal of comments as the ISU has done. This proves that the ISU Coronation Cultists know no national boundaries and that they are only intent on being rabid mouthpieces for corrupt scoring whether of Kaori in Japan or Yuna Kim in South Korea.
Get over yourself.

By the way, here's Haein Lee's ISU video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRGqwgN5d64&ab_channel=SkatingISU

Comments not censored, most do indeed say she would have won. Wouldn't exactly call the view of Kaori being called "Cowri" open-minded, but that's me.

Also, maybe I just follow the right kind, but most Korean Yuna fans I follow on twitter were just happy that Yuna's skating opened the way for skaters like Haein and Jun to win medals many years later. I am not sure that's "jealously guarding", although I imagine stans of skaters from a war-crime denying country would know about "jealous guarding".

This is so called "class" championships for spring. They give out medals to each age category in addition to the usual novice/junior/senior divisions.

The competition is not mandatory for elite skaters. Skaters use the opportunity to test next season's programs. Please note that South Korea does not hold club competitions for elite skaters during summer.

Wow, when would the Worlds and even the Jr. Worlds competitors have had time to create, learn, and practice new programs, even one, for next season by this weekend?

Golden Skate's Judith D. interviewed Lim/Quan at Junior Worlds in Calgary (19 mins.), uploaded on April 9 ahead of their senior international debut at World Team Trophy next week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le9NaZlpULg
The 2023 World Junior silver medalists share a bit about themselves, when they began skating, how they met, and chose ice dance. They cover the highlights of their 2022-23 season, their strengths as a team, and their expectations for the senior level next year.
The young team also discusses their weaknesses, what they want to improve on, and the styles of music they will contemplate for 2023-24. They both have input on their music choices and reveal possible choreographers for their new program. Both ice dancers share their goals, both on an off the ice, for the future. 4Lo< - fall - why do it with the arms over the head - doesn't make any sense

Because it helps him to stretch himself out in the air and have a better alignment and axis. Without it, it'd be very difficult for him to rotate it even as much as he is currently.

 Why are you replying here instead of the WTT play-by-play thread?

ETA: @skatingguy, some skaters just prefer to and/or practice jumping that way (like my fave U.S. junior man :)).

Okaaay? Kiss & Cry section is open to all until July 1, IIRC.

From the WTT thread here in GSD:
Once you are in the arena, you find a poster for each country team with QR code.
Read the QR code with your cell phone and you can watch the short movie that each team has made.

The one from Korean team is really well made!
Yelim Kim also shared the Team Korea video on her IG: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cq9gkmfL-MB/
