Was there a credible source for that quote? I haven't heard anything else about a bachelor party, and seems like the kind of thing someone could just make up and tweet it to try and be funny, get attention.

As many others have said - Meghan's half siblings and their conniving relatives have well and truly tried to ruin Meghan's day and have also driven their father into hospital. It is sad her father won't be there now - but being a recluse should have sent up signals to someone at KP that he has been shunning people and situations for a while now and maybe they should have invited him over a month or so back so he could gently been introduced to the different royals slowly and acclimatised himself to what his role would be on the big day. They could also have offered him some privacy as well which he has lacked being in Mexico. This is way easy to say in hindsight and for all we know this may have been mooted and refused by Thomas for some reason - we may never know. Regardless hopefully one day he can get to meet Harry and see at first hand how happy his daughter is.

Anyways back to the big day itself. The weather is definitely playing ball as it looks like it will be around 21C - and sunny. So a lovely spring day here in good old blighty!! Not too hot but warm enough for all the festivities to go ahead and for everyone to have a good time.

Meanwhile, wedding rehearsals are going ahead.

Harry and Meghan arrive for wedding rehearsal in Windsor

https://dailym.ai/2L7adHN

And now suppose to be having tea with HM - along with Doria, William and Kate amongst others.

And one good thing I read from the article is that GMB have now decided to not feature the members of Meghan's parasitic family that they were originally going to be. Good - now get on a plane and go back home!!

I had no idea what you guys were talking about, so I googled her half-siblings and read one article from Harper's Bazaar and geez Louise, they are incredibly trashy and opportunistic. An open letter asking Prince Harry to cancel the wedding? What in the world?

In a way it's good it's all out there now. They've painted themselves as vultures, untrustworthy, definitely not with her interests in mind, totally crass, money grubbing, you name it. I doubt even low end "media" will want to work with them now.

Anything they do or say in future, it's happening already, only reflects on them, not her.

It's also helpful that it's now public knowledge that she grew up with her mom, still loves her dad, but essentially has no relationship with the rest of them. This way they can't play the sympathy angle, implying that she's treated them badly when they've always supported her blah blah.

The truth is out there.

I have a feeling this half sibling aspect of her family will haunt them for some time unfortunately. You can pick most things in life but family.............they are yours good or bad.

Unfortunately, I have the same feeling about those half-siblings. I think they are pathetic enough to try and intrude themselves into Meghan's soon-to-be Royal life for as much and as long as they can. And unfortunately, there are seedy sides of media who would be more than willing to help them along.

All that being said, if it had been me I would have rescheduled the wedding and flown home to be with my dad. But then I'm extremely close to my dad who is getting on in years. I understand the logistics and enormous expense of a Royal wedding, etc. but for myself my dad would have come first. Everyone is different.

Hopefully, the half siblings will back down at some point. Someone on Yahoo comments said that it was odd that Meghan said in her message that she had 'always cared' for her father rather than 'always loved' but perhaps they are reading into it too much. I'm sure Meghan loves both of her parents very much. I just hope she is left in peace by her obviously twisted and embittered siblings and that she has a happy marriage with Harry.

I think "cared" was chosen to show that she had an active, on-going relationship with him rather than the type of relationship the half-siblings were trying to paint.

I couldn't access the entire article, but I think it's pushing it to expect the Royal Family to provide that level of security etc for her extended family on the other side of the world. He is not their responsibility.

We should also not assume that Meghan has not been in close touch with him this entire time, or that he has not been fully prepared for this. After all, he was just supposed to show up and walk his daughter down the aisle.

And I hate that this is all we're talking about just three days from the wedding. :(

I am sure that that is exactly what Meghan's vindictive siblings were hoping for. To disrupt, if not outright ruin, Meghan's big day in the lead up to her wedding as much as possible. What is particularly abhorrent is that they managed to get their father so stressed out that now he can't walk his daughter down the aisle and the man has to have heart surgery.

I'll bet he walked the older half-sister down the aisle back when she got married. And she couldn't stand the idea of him doing the same for her rich little half-sister. Imo, she was determined that their father would not be able to do the same for Meghan. She's an evil wench. I think she and her brother are both incredible a-holes. I used to think that Meghan should have invited that side of the family, set aside any differences for just one day, but now I understand why she didn't!! They are parasites! Toxic relations that have unfortunately latched on to her wedding plans like leeches. Clearly, they are consumed with anger, bitterness, envy, and jealousy over their youngest half-sibling's good fortune, both in the entertainment field, her wealth, and now that she is set to marry a real live Prince in perhaps the most famous Royal family in the world. They must all be seething with rage on the inside, their hatred and resentment towards Meghan twisting them even further from the inside out. Like Jane against her sister Blanch in "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane"?, they're all sick, twisted psychos.

As to the media, it is disgusting that they've helped these maggots right along with their vindictive agenda. The fact that Meghan's former sister-in-law is in London with her brood is appalling. They may not get their 15 minutes of fame now that their 'interview' or whatever during Meghan's wedding has been scrapped but the fact that their trip was paid for to begin with by the media, so that they'd be there is disgusting. No shame from all parties involved.

^^ Yes @snippy, I really like that one too for the lace detail. The second one a lot of people seem to like for its smooth flowing classic lines, which it is felt might be Meghan's aesthetic since she is said to have loved Carolyn Bessette's wedding dress. But I don't think that necessarily means she would wear that type of slim flowing style for herself, especially not as a royal bride. I really love the cut and style of the posted dresses. I found the Jacobean embroidered dress so regal, but it's probably too elaborate, plus I don't think Meghan will wear long sleeves.

Many feel the boatneck style would look good on Meghan since she looked good in that boatneck style blazer she wore on her visit to Cardiff Castle in Wales:

Here's some interesting insight into Meghan's character from an article she wrote for Darling magazine before she met Prince Harry. She describes her early years of struggle to make it in the acting profession:

This was all good---and I enjoyed the magazine article Markle wrote as well. I think I like her.

Perfect temperature! I'll probably be bummed to lose a travel day (especially since I was too exhausted last Sunday) but still worth it. I was on call IIRC when William and Kate were married, this one I'll be able to watch properly.

When it comes to fruitcake, I would break from Royal tradition too! :scream:

Eta: Speaking of wedding cake, for those Yanks (like me! :D) who are true Anglophiles, and who will be getting up at an ungodly hour (like me! :D) on Saturday, and who REALLY want to get into Royal wedding mode even though we live across the pond, here's HGTV's: Celebrate Like A Royal: Lemon Elderflower Cake Recipe

I don't feel too bad for the half sibs and father. They are all being well paid. Way, way back in the 80s and early 90s I did some work for the (I hate to admit this) National Enquirer. The money they throw around for insiders is crazy. They will run a background check to see what they owe on credit cards and how much will get them to open up. A childhood photo can go for up to 100k. I worked on the old TV show, but the print people were very loose with money and bribes. I heard the media in the UK is just as evil.

his daughter said he made some money on it. I am kind of doubting he had a heart attack. Several news outlets showed him going to KFC and a burger joint yesterday or today. But with HIPPA laws, the media can't get medical records.
Sounds like the brother was paid for the nasty letter, but then was offered more if he got an invite to the wedding. Trust me, everyone has a price. The NE would know exactly how much someone owes on credit cards or what they want and will offer a bit above that. They aren't concidered a real news outlet.
Now the Today Show pays for photos or use of someone's house to get around the not paying a witness, Fox News does the same thing. Inside Edition pays for vacations. But the person has to pay in advance and IN pays back. When I worked for a certain network, the most I could do was buy flowers or coffee.

The KFC photos are from weeks ago there is an article saying he was seen leaving in an ambulance week or so ago. So that part checks out.

So all week the news outlets here in the UK have been building up to this Saturday and today it looks as if all we are getting is wedding news regardless how nebulous. Some people have been camped out in Windsor for several days to get a good view even though the nights have been pretty chilly. And have been to several royal events and likewise camped out.. I suppose they could have worse hobbies.

Ugh so there's "no evidence" that Samantha was in a car crash! She's a loon, estranged from her own daughter and mother too. Called Doria, "the maid".

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5742045/

I need to go have a shower after reading that article. She truly is a horrible woman and according to her Mother has dogged on Meghan for ever.

I can now understand why Harry said the comments he did about Meghan gaining a family- I para phrase as I can't remember the exact quote. Apart from her Mother the rest of that family are absolutely awful.

Anyway Doria will meet the Queen today. She apparently met William and Kate along with George and Charlotte yesterday. Still waiting to hear who will escort Meghan down the aisle.

Just watching the coverage of the crazies fans in and around Windsor Castle - love the young Aussie woman who has just arrived in the UK, wearing a wedding dress and huge gold tiara and carrying a placard reading 'It's not too late Harry' and explained to the interviewer 'I live in hope he'll change his mind and here I am all ready to go'
