German Skating News - Part 3

So, it's official, Bock will be the one to beat of the german trainwrecks next season. (not that there was any doubt, with or without ingo :D)

I have a feeling! Ingo will make Lutricia stronger. If he'll focus on her she'll be great. Not sure about Schott. I hope she used the time off to improve.
I gueds from Weinzierl we'll see the same as every season!
My bet is on Bock.

Hell yes. Can't wait to see Bock's progress this year. Is she keeping the Patch Adams SP? Maybe with a new dress? :p

the sp choreo is not by ingo, again by pasquale, so i wait until i see it; but i remain hopeful that she finally gets some good vehicles and above all: some good costumes :P

Lorenz/Polizoakis will be skating to a Flamenco for their FD according to their Facebook fanpage.
That could be good - Definetly different than last season. Hope they're ready to show this kind of dance. A convincing Flamenco is not easy at all.

I am officially dumping Stolbova.
Aljona is going for 2nd season with Bruno and I am team Savchenko&Masso to infinity!

Dump is such a strong word, I just have her as my 1st reserve. She could still win it all and stick her nose up at us, out of spite. :drama:

It really is a dilemma, but Bruno breaks any potential tie. :smokin:

Yes. Flamenco and Tango are the two rhythms I kind of dread teams choosing for a FD as it's hard to maintain the feel for the entire 4 minutes. Most teams noticeably lose crispness and the "staccato" feel by about the 2 minute mark.

German fed announced the 'special' teams for the 2016/17 season:

DEU Olympic Top Team:
Ladies:
Bock
Schott
Weinzierl

Men:
Liebers
Streubel

Pairs:
Savchenko/Massot
Vartmann/Blommart

Ice Dance:
Lorenz Polizoakis

DEU Perspective Team: (however this should be translated :P)

Ladies:
Dastich

Men:
Fentz
Ulanovsky

Ice Dance:
Müller/Dieck

---

I guess this means kinda more money than the simple a-team/b-team status? somebody has som insights?

btw. no hase/seegert in the perspective team? kinda harsh.

Do we have any criterias for euros and worlds nominations already?
I can't find anything.

4 Senior IceDance teams in Germany now. That's amazing!
.
I just want to remember how many we've had on paper as the last season was about to kick off...so I start being optimistic when all are showing up!

Jennifer Urban has teamed up with Benjamin Steffan the Deu reports on Facebook.

Good, that Urban found someone, it has been a while; I don't know, never was to impressed with his skating, maybe they come somehow together. I am happy if he proves me wrong!

Apparently ippolito/preiss, last year national dance bronze medalists, split.

she ist registered this week for a competition with malcolm jones, representing latvia. however this is possible, as she skated internationally last season.

Here's my reply to you in the Lake Placid competition thread:
Ippolito/Jones are skating in the club competition Sr. event, not the international one.

Lorenz/Polizoakis will be starting their international season at Nebelhorn Trophy & Ondrej Nepela back-to-back, according to their FB fan page.

jennifer urban injured herself in last weeks practice according to german fed.
she broke her collarbone and has to be off the ice for about 6 weeks. surgery was not necessary.

so no nebelhorn for urban/steffen.

So, as the season kicked off last week with jgp, I hope for a great outing for Bock this weekend in Ostrava.

Seems pretty bad regarding our junior boys, if german fed decided not to sent one besides dimitrescu to any jgp.
not to speak of junior pairs.

herceg injurd again? or why is she only sub at jgp until now:confused:

as the senior season is about to kick off next season with schott vs. bock vs. weinzierl at lombardia, still no criterias for euros or worlds?
same as the last season?

but, if by chance or not, i like the 3 compete against each other in the same competition, so comparing/balancing the scores is more fair.

Herceg is only alternate at jgp dresden with 3 spots:confused:

So Bock has 2 jgp, 2 challengers until end of september?!

I am getting really curious about the nominations criteria
