FSU Watch Party: Sunday, April 5, 2020 1pm CDT/2pm EST/7pm UTC - 1995 World Figure Skating Championships Ladies Long Program

This dress is like something you'd see now. The music, not so much, unless someone found a dirgey cover of it.

Imagine some pained male gravely voiced or overly serious and affected female singer slow version of this piece in the style of “In This Shirt”.

Kielmann actually did this program cleanly, with 6 triples, at her home Europeans in Dortmund the month before. The crowd went insane, it was actually a really awesome moment.

Too bad she couldn't replicate at Worlds.

I've never seen this program before, but something about Hubert flying around the rink at 125 mph to instrumental Les Mis works really well!

And she's actually holding her spirals out, too.

Hubert looked like such a French Queen out there. So statuesque and that program actually highlighted her strengths. She held out those positions and had such great and musical shapes and poses throughout.

Yes! I live for voidy Hubert, but this program totally surprised me with the musicality and placement of the elements. I'll definitely go back and watch this program again in the future.

I love Santa Esmerelda’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”. I wish skaters edited that better but this one was one of the better edits. They always cut it right before it hits its peak making it unsatisfying.

I’m going to ignore the wrong design for a Vietnamese ao dai, and just say who told Markova putting two colors on the sleeves I. a horizontal fashion with one color going right to the armpits was a good idea? What do you guys think of her stockings?

Obviously, it's to make the arm look slimmer. Pipecleaners are hot.

I just keep looking at her armpits. I do appreciate that she used so much of the Jazz section from Miss Saigon. Skaters never use it. That makes me think she’s portraying Ellen instead of Kim so it makes the program racially appropriate, if anyone cared about that.

I love Markova, but always hated this program and detested this jazzy version of Miss Saigon.

I vote yes for the sheer black tights over the boots, but the rest of the dress is a no from me.

Oh look, it's Buyanova!
