This is probably prudish of me, but every time I see a women's singles skater with a ponytail I immediately think "juniorish." It just looks like sloppy packaging, IMO.

I agree, but somehow, I can't imagine Kristi Yamaguchi any other way. When she had her hair up in pro comps, I just thought it was weird.

I’m a few skaters ahead and I don’t think there has been a music choice that I’ve hated yet. And knowing what is to come, I think the only music I don’t like is Kielmann, and I would still take it over the bad covers we get today.

It’s so strange that all the Japanese skaters this quad ended up not being in contention for the Olympics with Shizuka snatching that one spot away from Fumie. Sad that they went from three spots (thanks to Yuka Sato) in the beginning to 1 spot at the end.
