I've not watched this program in 10 years, it's so much worse than I remembered.

I was about to say perhaps the yuck about this program was partly due to him always looking like such a dufus - but I see my memory had tried to distance itself from this disaster. They were definitely going camp as well as having no sensitivity to anything, not even the slightest pretense of dignity about it.

So learning & training new choreo after the season was already underway would have been practically impossible

I remember reading one theory was they deliberately chose such an outlandish/offensive theme to take the focus off his rapidly deteriorating skills (bad knees). But underestimated exactly how offensive it all was.

IIRC Tanith has talked about training with DomShab and seeing little bits of this horrible OD and having no clue what the theme is supposed to be (bc black practice gear etc) and being like "WTF is going on?" and Linichuk just being "Oh this is very avantgarde!"

Maybe she was really that clueless? IDK

I know the CD was excellent, but for me absoutely NOTHING makes up for that OD.
