DWTS Season 22 3-21-2016

Peta won with Donald Driver several seasons ago but I am fine with her winning again with Nyle.

Okay, so we have Nyle and Wanya in the final. Who's the token lady?

Wow, this singer blows. Sorry, but way to take a nice pretty (and easy to dance to) waltz and tart it up for no reason. She's a special guest? Bring back the tiara lady.

Andra Day - where did she come from? Lately I've been seeing her all over the place. She is an awful singer imo. You can tell she has a good voice but her style is so contrived & pretentious that it's like nails on the blackboard to me.

My favs so far are Jodie, Paige, & Wanya.

Misha never looked happy to appear on the show; or comfortable with the work involved.
It was time for her to leave, IMO.

Based on skill? Paige. She's awesome, she really is. They probably want Jodie but I'm just underwhelmed so far. Wayna is fun and so sweet. I've got to pull for that one football guy (Antonio?) who danced with his son because he went to CMU but otherwise Nyle-Wanya-Paige final three where I'm sitting.

Nyle-Wanya-Paige are all excellent dancers but does Paige have the fan base to put her in the final? Cynical me says it will be one of the football players.

I think they want Ginger over Jodie. But I find Ginger so overrated so far. If things keep going as they are, I'd be completely fine with Nyle/Wanya/Paige. Paige's dance this week was just fantastic. Brilliant choreography from Mark.

Despite Ginger's enthusiasm, I think she'll fall to the "not enough time" problem. Has a bi-coastal team ever made it to the final?

Prior to this show I had never heard of any of these 3 yet I'm giving Wanya & Paige my votes. So hopefully people will vote for the best dancers.

Not my favourite week. Paige and Wanya were better than the others but the this theme along with Disney are not what I like. Guess it is good to get them out of the way early on. Can't figure out who will be the next to go.

I think Doug's time may be up. I can't help but think that all the pounding he's taken has done a number on his joints. He seems vaguely musical, but much stiffer than I expected.

I haven't watched any DWTS all season, but after reading the comments I watched Nyle & Peta's Cha Cha. It had the most views. Nyle is right on time and he clearly feels the tempo through Peta. I've never taken a deaf girl through a dance test, but I've skated with a few that don't have rhythm. Its easy enough to keep them on time. They can feel the tempo through your own knee action. On their solo, however, all bets are off.

Doug Flutie was on GMA today talking about the Autism Foundation he started in honor of his son. Nyle and Peta were on Ellen today. They were talking about the strategies they use to communicate. They also did a great job on the dance floor!;)

Disney night and a guest judge - it's going to be a long 2 hours...

I take it all back - Tarzan/Nyle made me see the light. :biggrinbo

:DI don't want anybody to go home! I like everybody that is still dancing

Wow, that's surprising. I didn't think Marla would go so soon. She must not have had a big enough fan base. Poor Tony. I hope he'll be able to win again, or at least get back to the finals.

Paige was wonderful, but I just read that her family had a dance studio and she grew up with years of dance training. I thought of her as just a mixed martial arts person and didn't realize she had that background. But lots of people on this show have dance backgrounds so I don't hold that against her.

I did not think Marla would go before Doug, but he must have a bigger fan base. I wondered if the football players would divide the football fans.

I didn't think Marla would go this early, but I didn't think she'd have lasted many more weeks either. But she came across as very sweet and hard working.

I wish I liked Ginger, but I just don't. I find her to be just too much.
I completely agree!! And as for tonight, she and Val (the perfect Gaston!) were great once they were in hold, but she spend the first 30 seconds just basically standing on the stage while others danced around her.

I feel so bad for Jodie. I think she may be one of the next to go, which sucks. She actually has a lot of talent, but Keo is not a great partner. His choreography is pretty bad (like Allison levels). I wish she had someone like Val, Mark or even Derek for her partner - then she'd actually have something to work with. I personally find it a travesty that Keo has been a pro for more seasons than Sasha who is a fantastic partner and creates great dances (his quickstep with Kim tonight was awesome!)

Len was too happy tonight. He didn't criticize Paige/Mark and Kim/Sasha for breaking hold in the quickstep, and especially Paige for being out of hold for such a long break.

Antonio was awesome!! Loved his Aladdin routine. That was ballsy, having him in the outfit standing out, and surrounded by professionals, but he pulled attention in the best way. That was fantastic, and Sharna basically was not needed at all in that dance.

Wanya just continues to amaze me. I think I'm rooting for him.

How the heck am I supposed to pick a favorite dancer when they are all so good? This season's eliminations are going to get downright depressing at times.

Although, Kim Fields is maybe my favorite person ever. I love how happy she is all the time. :)

Antonio was great. I loved it and I'm not always a Sharna fan in terms of choreography.

Jodie has skills, but they aren't coming through.

Wayna just makes me smile. I want him to do well because I feel like he can do it and that he is enjoying it.

Doug or whatever the guy's name is with Karina is going to have to go soon. He's not very fluid and showing the effort too much.

Peta and her partner were good, but he's a bit too loose for me. I like a little more tension in the body (not too much).

Paige is doing very well, which is a surprise for me. I hope that continues and that Mark doesn't start going too far out there with the routines. I get that he is creative and wants to try new things, but that can backfire on this show. (Please no gorilla suits or pole dances.)

Really surprised that Marla went, but then what fan base does she have? Actually, what does she do normally?

Who was that little girl judging & why in the hell would anyone care about what she thought? I thought it was rather asinine for her to be critiquing adults.

That "little girl" was Zendaya (who is legally an adult at 19) and who was runner up (with Val) three years ago when she was 16. Her experience as a successful DWTS contestant, as well as her being a "Disney kid" probably led to her guest judge spot. There certainly have been much less credible celebrity guest judges on the show in the past -- remember Redfoo? And while she certainly has the gravitas that comes with age, I don't think Robin Roberts was really qualified to judge anyone's dancing performance.
